Hey people, I wanted to know how common you find errors in movies. Just say which of those it is, and then explain the mistake you see everytime you see that movie (if never, than list a mistake you've heard your friends, family, etc. Find in movies). I don't find them that often, I don't really have a good eye at looking for these kind of things. The error I noticed was in happy Gilmore, when it showed the buggy crashed into the stand thing, before it had crashed there.

There's plenty of mistakes, especially if you watch a lot of independent and B-movies and such. Those are the easiest ones to find mistakes in. |

I find them about a medium amount of times. B-movies such as Plan 9 From outer Space are easy to spot mistakes in, like NotJon said, and I do occasionally find goofs in other movies, like in Elf, where when Buddy is chasing Michael or whatever his name is you can see a crew member

I don't like watching movies trying to look for mistakes movies are suppose to take you away from reality. I don't keep my eyes open for those kind of mistakes. I'm so absorbed into the movie plot, that I don't care about those things.
And JigSaw has a good point, movies are supposed to take your mind away from reality, so I see no point in trying to find mistakes in movies. I also keep my eyes open in movies for mistakes and that. I found a bunch in 2012, like how it happened in July, but in reality it's in December.
I also see a few booms in shot, like in The House Bunny when she makes the speech to the dean.

i kinda don't look for it, it just happens to catch my eye when watching movies. but i do agree with jigsaw.
it was really in July in the movie!? i didn't notice that!wow, that's a huge fail on their part [for accurate date of events].

Anyways, yeah, huge mistake, it was mid summer in the movie when everything happens, and the environmentalist guy said "2, 3 days" for it to happen.

I find mistakes all the time. I don't look for mistakes but I'll generally see them since I have a pretty good eye for detail and a good memory. I don't agree with Jigsaw, just because you know more stuff about the movie doesn't take away from it's reality, that's probably just me though. |

I can almost always find a mistake in a movie.... although sometimes I can justify the "mistake" after the movie is over to give the director some credit.... basically what I'm saying is not all the mistakes I find are true mistakes, not outright blunders, but depending on your point of view it could be a plot hole or something. -------------------- |

I catch more plot holes then continuity errors. Like say there was some picture on the wall in one shot then its gone in the next, I rarely notice those. -------------------- |
