With the release of the XBox 360 soon within a year or so (not sure of the release date), that just means Shenmue 3 will be released for the XBox 360.

It must be the only game that has true sequels to have each sequel be on a different game system

Shenmue - Dreamcast
Shenmue II - XBox
Shenmue III - XBox 360


Now apparently the Shenmue Saga was originally suppose to expand to 6 games total, but since Shenmue and Shenmue II didn't make as much money as they would have liked, who knows how long they'll carry on the saga.

We should all get down and pray that Shenmue Online is enough of a hit to provide enough intererest in continuing the series.

I looked around in Ryo's room and noticed how you could open drawers and the closet doors and how some of them had things in them. Sometimes there are several ways to do things. Like when I was going through Shenmue I a second time I went into a place to get info theat I didn't in the first. Great games. The only part I didn't like was walking across the beams in the second one. That got on my nerves.

The story for Shenmue 3 has been finished for a few years now, I think most of the game is finished as far as planning, I have no idea if any actual coding is done and for what system.

Shenmue online is supposed to have 150+ new scenes that continue the saga though. So maybe some of the things you saw were from that, but who knows.
