Gardevoir because she is way easier to obtain, looks cooler, has better stats and moveset. I am a fan of first generation, but they did okay in third generation so I voted gardevoir.

I never really tried with an Alakazam (mostly because I couldn't trade to get it to evolve), but my Gardevoir was also epic. It was one of my favorite Psychic Pokémon ever (except Mewtwo, duh). I overused Future Sight and Dream Eater.
