Hello! .. & Of course Spongebob is getting old! It's the longest running cartoon show from the 80s- 90s. I still think it's amazing. I love spongebob, but I have to agree with most people, they are running out of episodes and they're starting to repeat theirselves.

Spongebob is easily one of the most overrated shows of all time, on one of the most overrated channels of all time. Nickelodeon sucks nowadays, for many of the same reasons that "CN" (Cartoon Network) sucks nowadays. Nickelodeon was overrated to begin with (seriously, just try to watch one episode of Ren & Stimpy and tell me it wasn't overrated.) I used to like shows like Spongebob, Jimmy Neutron, and Fairly Odd Parents, but as time passed, Nickelodeon just got worse and worse. RIP Spongebob, and RIP Nickelodeon. I won't really be missing either of you all that much. You were both stupid to begin with. (EDIT: I actually do like the classic episodes of Spongebob (the ones before the movie) and there are indeed a lot of funny and quotable moments from them. For example:?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_0BrcV-Txo Spongebob: (spaz attack; pulls out baseball bat) "NOTHING'S WORKING!!!" Patrick: "Wait, Spongebob! We're not CAVE MEN! WE HAVE TECHNOLOGY... (smashes computer against table 6 times to try to get paint off of dollar) DERP DERP DERP DERP DERP DERP!!!" Spongebob: "...It didn't work..." That scene has got to be one of the most memorable 20-second moments of my life. Pacific Rim in a nutshell. XD

90's Nick was quality work, even the older Spongebob's were considered such. Overrated it may be now, Nick in the mid 90s- the early 2000s absolutely deserves the reputation it has. As a matter of fact, I think 90s Nick was the defining point of the Animation Renaissance in the 90s.

Kinda like I mentioned above, the show is getting old, it’s pretty much the same storyline every episode.  

It may be getting old, but it is sure of a heck a great cartoon. Sponge bob never gets old in my review. I don't know why, but I just refuse to give it up.

SpongeBob is starting to get extremely over rated. I think it is getting really old. This show should have been extinct by now. 

I like Spongebob. REALLY. I like all episodes, even the movies. I do not think it is getting old.

Ugh, Spongebob's just getting stupider to watch, and makes Squidward seem like the likable character now, with Spongebob and Patrick becoming "too dumb to live". That is saying a heck of a lot as opposed to 90's to early 2000's. Stupid, but an enjoyable stupid. This one's absolutely painful to watch, and is just getting older and older.

Kind of. Sponge Bob used to be my very childhood. The embodiment of it. But now it's just so more childish and kid friendly. Many people think the new creators are trying to get the show cancelled. No more funny jokes, held up gags or anything. It's just a kid friendly show 100%. While it still lives on in our hearts, it just isn't what it used to be.

After 14 years on the air, I can say that it's getting pretty stale. It happens when you run out of ideas, and even though it's newer episodes aren't that bad, it might be a matter of time before it ends the series.

True. I wonder what happened to the show we loved known as Sponge Bob. It got so bad after 2004 that people can barely give a care in the world for hi m anymore. If anything it's saddening. 

chaoscontrolx : Indeed. Everyone has gotten too old for it by now, and they must be playing to the new generation of children, I bet. But yeah, it's getting old for pretty much everyone. Even though there's even worse, like Nick Studio 10, this series is on its last legs at this point, and I'm gonna assume by at least next year, they're pulling the plug on it.

Spongebob had a darn good run, but nothing lasts forever.

Yeah it is really old (it first started in 1999) and I think the entire show has gone completely downhill since the movie. I think the show just keeps getting a lot stupider and more annoying than ever.

I still really enjoy spongebob then and now. I think it is still funny and it always makes me laugh
