So i got to thinking and i was wondering. How could they name a Pokemon Mr. Mime, when they already had plans for 2nd Gen by the time the first was released? -------------------- |

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking. Mr mime was one of the original pokemon so I don't see how the second gen would matter.

What i meant is that Mr. Mime is the default name. Even if the gender is female, the name is MR. Mime. Its a bit weird don't you think?
As for 2nd Gen mattering, why would they create a completely male character when they knew they were going to make actual gender differences? yeah that just seems VERY creepy when i see it, mime Jr. has the exception since Jr. doesn't reference to either gender, but they should have seriously made a Mrs. mime for actually doing the gender thing on there. and i understood what you meant

Wouldn't it be awesome to change the stats around based on the gender? Like Mr. Mime is the better attacker since usually males are more aggressive. The female, Mrs. Mime, would be the better defensive mime since thats the opposite of attack  -------------------- |

Actually, wouldn't you have Mr. Mime have a higher Sp. Attack? Mr. Mime is psychic, so its just a suggestion, and then Mrs. Mime has a higher Sp. Defense, since she is also psychic. Plus, if there was a Mrs. Mime, don't you think she would look exactly like Mr. Mime, except with lipstick on?
Or wait... Do you think Jynx is the Mrs. Mime, we just have yet to actually figure it out? That makes some sense. The are both psychic type...

It WOULD make more sense to have a female named Mrs.
It's a bit odd to see a woman named Mister. They should have made a Mrs. Mime, definably. Just like how Nidoking and Nidoqueen (I know that the 2 devolutions of them are like that too, just an example)

I agree completely. It is kinda dumb to make a pokemon with 'Mr.' in the name female. But they screwed up with Machop, Machoke, and Machamp. They can be female and yet they have massive man pecks.
And what about Hitmonchan? It can only be a male but it's wearing a dress looking thing all the time.

Well for Hitmonchan its a tunic, so thats not really a problem.
