I think that house is the smarter choice. Cheaper and it sounds like you are both getting things you want out of it which is great.

I'm gonna have to agree w/ your wife. #2 Looks more comfortable and how boring can life get, it's still hawaii.

Yeap I also agree that the 3rd choice seems more liveable. The other 2 are really nice but they just don't have that "home" look or feel to them like the 3rd choice does, so it's great that you could both find one that you can both agree on because that's important to pick one that you both can agree on.
