For the most part I cant stand Eazy-E. My whole problem with him is that he had terrible delivery. Sure most people credit him with starting gangster rap but if you listen to him rhyme his style is so simplistic. Though he does have a couple songs that I enjoy.

But one of my favorite rappers is DJ Quik. I mention him because he makes his own beats and has his own style. Most of his music is laid back and smooth, I feel like it captures the mood of California. He's one of the few rappers I would actually call a artist.
