Pac-Man is a game everyone in the nation treasures. Every Pac-Man based game has made it and has attracted everyone's attention. Every game except the one game of Pac-Man.

The Atari has made sucesses, many of them ended up in the Game Crash of '83 including E.T. and Pac-Man of course.

Pac-Man was released for the Atari 2600, this was a nightmare.

Pac-Man's (Atari) disadvantages led to controversies everywhere.

It all started with the ghosts. I ean the blinking is UNBEARABLE! And the movements aren't that great either. He's not even yellow in the game! The sound effects are horrible. Dosen't sound anything like the Pac-Man we know. Those yellow-brown squares were supposed to be the pellets! And the fruit looked nothing like a fruit. More like a clump of those pellets jammed togethher! The Atari 2600 Pac-Man players became bored rather quickly with the lackluster sound and visuals.

This game ended up being in a hole with E.T. (Atari) and drowned to death in the cement poured during the Game Crash.

You're ranting about a port in a game that used all the resources around. OF COURSE it won't have all the features from the arcade port, I don't moan how every single feature in the Double Dragon NES game doesn't have all the features from the arcade game. You also have to remember that the Atari 2600 can't play game music and is limited graphic wise so don't nitpick on features like pellets.

No offence, but you don't know the whole history about PacMan. You're 12 and obviously using a source like wikipedia and ET wasn't that bad.

it seems like your ranting and bashing this memorable game.i mean its the best they could do at the time.this was the technological peak and i thought E.T was a good game.
maybe you should use another source other than a pac-man wiki or wikipeda

Well, that was the most technological type device they had at the time and it was the best they could at the time, if you've played it around now, you would hate it, if you played it then, you would think it was so advanced that you couldn't believe you were playing it.

So it pretty much depends on who you ask.

Compare the Pac-Man game for the Atari with the Mrs. Pac Man game for the Atari. The Pac-Man game was widely critisized so why can't I write what I think about the game?

Both the Pac-Man and Ms. Pac Man Atari games were BOTH made in 1982 and Mrs. Pac Man has more improvement and sounds a bit better like the arcade game, but something went wrong with Pac Man.

I don't know if you know about this but Pac-Man made it to the Game Crash, because of criticism and controversy, and NONE OF THIS INFO CAME FROM WIKIPEDIA!

Well, as much as I like to write reviews, I don't think this really belongs in the Vid game controversy forum. It just doesn't really fit the criteria. This isn't a controversy, it's just a game lacking certain things and disappoints people. Just because someone didn't like a certain aspect of a game doesn't make it a controversy. You have to understand. So I'll have to agree with xfighter on that part.
But hey, write some reviews in the Video game reviews forum. If you haven't already noticed, it's a sub forum under Video Games.
