What is your craziest experience in a restaurant or shopping mall?

I once got my shoe lace caught in an escalator, I got it out, but I lost the lace.

alexanyways : How did you get the lace out of the shoe in time? :O

Well, it wasn't tied. in fact, it was hardly attached to the shoe, so it basically slipped out, I just tugged a little.

I remember one time a waitress walked by our table and trip and all the food landed right on me.

Oh man, well this is kind of a long one.

I met up with this girl I was trying to see several years ago. Kim is her name. We went to the Mall of America to go what used to be an adult arcade/bowling/ center on the 4th floor (which is where the clubs, Hooters and bars are put. This place had a bar, which she liked going to. As we're sitting there talking she starts to brag about how she could drink me under the table. Being a man, I had to challenge that. No woman should simply be able to out-drink a guy. So we end up getting into a drinking contest, sipping and slamming Grape Pucker and Sprite mixes. She finished 14 I think and I managed to do 12. I lost.

After a while, about 2 a.m. or so I walk her out to the parking ramps and to her car where we proceed to have 5-minute heavy make out session just standing there. She get in her car and leaves (I don't know how she got home safely because she was pretty drunk). I start walking to my car somewhere within the parking complex. I knew I was drunk. Cops are out on the weekend. Fortunately for me, I never completely loose all my judgment when I'm trashed (thank you, brain). When I get back to my car I simply sit in it, waiting for time to pass to sober up. Well, I got pretty bored after a while. Trying to sleep wasn't quite working because I was too dizzy and felt like I was going to be overcome with nausea. So, I decide to get out of my car and walk around.

I walk around the lot/ramp/garage whatever it's called, go to the rail and look at the scenery watch my spit fall from 3 stories up. Yadda yadda. I decide to make my way up to the top floor of the parking garage, 10 floors I think. Once at the top I spot a metal bar. Pick it up, start swinging it around like I'm in a Kung Fu movie. Go over to the rails again and look toward the bottom, which was waaaaay far down, and enjoy the wind on my body. Unbeknownst to me, however, were security personnel walking around. I see one as I turn around all the way on the other side of the lot. Crap. I immediately put down the bar and start walking back down to where my car is and get inside.

Once inside I try to get some sleep. 10 minutes go by and I hear a couple knocks on my window. I open my eyes and see a security guy, with 2 others behind him. Fffuuuuuuuuuu...... I roll down the window and he starts talking to me, asking me if I was alright. I respond yeah and such and talk to him. At this point sitting in my car is doing no good, so I open up the door and step out to more directly communicate with him. These guys step back and move their hands back to where their weapons are like I'm about to do something. I just put my hands slightly up, "whoooooooa... I just need to get out. Sorry about that." I turn to look behind me and there's another guy just a few meters on the other side of my car. I have this puzzled look on my face. "WTF?! 4security guards total?" They must have thought I was going to do something. The guy starts talking to me
"We saw you up on the top floor with a metal bar and looking over the edge. Were you thinking about jumping and killing yourself?"
Whoa! I tell him no and explain to him that I got drunk at a bar inside and was trying to sober up before driving home, lest I wanted a DUI to pwn my driving record. Although if someone DID want to jump and kill himself that would certainly be a place to do it. And dammit, I was really hoping I wouldn't be seen and thought that there was nobody else around.

We talk some more for a minute and he and his entourage finally leave, with him letting me know that what I was doing was a good thing. Yeah, yeah. Maaaan. I get back into my car and try to sleep again. About another hour passed. I wake up and look at the clock on my CD player. 4 a.m. F*** it. "I'm not waiting around here any more." My condition had only improved to having a strong buzz but I turn the car on and drive off anyway. By this time I was able to drive well, but I never like risking it in that condition. (I was concerned that if I did get pulled over that even though I could be able to drive perfectly fine I would still get busted for a possible high BAC). My place was 15 minutes away. Once I got to the highway (which was half a mile from the Mall) it was only a 3 minute drive to the exit. Good. Less chance of running into a state From there I drove the next few miles on a straight road through my city. And while we had plenty of police roaming around you don't encounter them very often. I managed to make it home safely.

Man, what a night.

The guard thought I was a suicide bomber because I brought the piano case with me and he thought there was a bomb in it... He even called the other personnels. They asked me to leave the piano in the entrance door and of course I didn't agree with it.

After 30 mins they allowed me to bring the case with me.

well cause all of coat racks are stacked like dominoes a lady i see while im in this shopping centre and she's trying to get this coat of the rack and its like "nuh huh" and she's like "uh huh" so she pulls it with all her strength and all of the rack fall on top of her and like everyone who saw it was trying not to laugh but you should of heard the place everyone was laughing so hard
why dosen't stuff like this happen everyday XD.

I experienced the same thing as alexanyways. Except, mine was really stuck. I was going down the escalator, I tried walking off, but, I was stuck. My cousins and everyone behind me kept getting closer. I kept pulling and pulling and I just made it out before something unfortunate could happen. Sadly, my lace was disfigured beyond recognition.

There are 2 stories i can remember that were an experience. One is that im at the mall, and im with my family at the food court. And while there i smell something horrible so i look around and i see a little kid walk by me. He had diarrhea and it was running down his long, spiraling along it in a twisting fashion. It was disgusting and his mother didn't even notice it.

The next one is a personal pity one. I was with some friends, and i decided that it'd be a good idea to race them, who were on the up escalator, by running up the down escalator. Needless to say i made it near the top, but missed a step, scraped my shin, and tripped. I slammed my head, and rolled down the escalator, listening to my friends laughing. -.-

alexanyways : You were luckier then me, same thing happened but I got to struggle or I could have lost my feet, I manage to win XD . My laces were okay too .

I was doing security at South Coast Plaza back in the day, and during one of my shifts i heard some ppl yelling so i ran over there to see what was goin on n apparently some guy had jumped from the 3rd floor of the mall down to the first floor to commit suicide. The paramedics were called but he had died a few mins after landing. one of our officers had to go to therapy cuz they guy had landed near where he was. He said that it sounded like when someone belly flops in a pool.

Here's an update:

Well, I was in a restaurant a month ago, and this random dude started singing "This is How We Do It", and I somehow got caught into break dancing and singing aside of him.

Hmm, well. I'd have to pick this one;

One time when I walked to a old mall (still active and open), and I walked to the 'main center' of the mall, and you know what happened? I saw Santa. In JULY. Believe me or not. 

I didn't even question it, I just walked away, all screwed up in my head. xD

Running away because a technician got caught in an elevator...and lost his legs.
