I got sick of 5, and i've nearly finished 6. I dont like the whole espers thing. And when you think bout it, the only difference sorta between that and matria, is when you remove it, the person keeps the ability.

yeah, i suppose when you compare 6 to 7 u realise they're very similar but are different in a few ways

if you achieve a spell on a character, you keep it forever in 6, even if you remove the esper... but you achieve a spell on materia, you can exchange it to whatever character you feel like in 7.

espers... dont decrease stats like materia does... but materia increases other stats... espers give, again, permenant stat gains per level increase with the esper...

only 1 esper @ a time, but potentially an unlimited library of spells... ff7 gets numerous summons and materia, restricted only by slots on weapons...

thats all i can think of...

ff7 remake... i hope i have acess to a ps3 if it exists @ some time

Square Enix is messing with us. They should just go ahead and remake FF7. They remade the other final fantasys, so its only fair. I think they are gonna remake it. theyre just busy with other games such as the new Star Ocean, Final Fantasy XIII and Versus XIII. Also the new DragonQuest. They have a lot on their plate so we gotta give them time.
I also heard there were rumors of a sequel to FF7, because of that hidden scene at the end of Dirge of Cerberus.

best i can see is a release on playstation chanel or whatever they call their console store.
but honestly, they should focus on digging the playstation out of the hole its in and help them topple xbox for good before releasing yet another FF7.
(or better yet, move on...)

Honestly I think remaking FF7 for the PS3 would be enough to get PS3 out of the hole their in. There are millions of people who'd probably order that game right away, many of those who don't even have a PS3 yet.

To be honest, I'd buy a Playstation 3 just for a remake of Final Fantasy 7 if they released one, but at this point, there hasn't been quite enough reason/justification for me to go out and spend $500+ on a PS3.

ok, they can make it, so long as all fanboys buy a ps3 so the price drops to like AU$250-300 and they release like 20 good games here, and i mean proper playstation rpgs, not just games that are on everything (including pc).

Hah. believe it or not, FFVII was the very first epic game I ever played. No, Pokemon doesn't count as epic because it was only on one single gameboy cartridge at a time lol.

Because of games like FFVII, I have wanted to be a video game programmer my entire life.

A remake would be amazing, and a sequel would be O.K., merely because im not sure how a sequel would pan out due to FFVII:AC. Where would they put it (timeline-wise, as in before AC, or after)? How would they improve the plotline at all? Should Sephiroth be in it? How would it be wrapped up? Answer these questions, and you might have a game on your hands..

Well, i'm pretty sure it is coming out for playstation 3.
Although with better graphics, and its one of the best final fantasys, i'm not sure i would spend the money to buy a crappy system just to buy a epic game.

Yeah, screw this originality thing, let's use the same characters in every game. Because that won't get boring.

FF 1 and 2 are on psp, 3 and 4 are on DS.
