Well we've got polls where the men are fighting the men. Now let's see who would win between the two most popular Final Fantasy women. I think Tifa would win because she's such a great martial artist. But Rinoa has some tricks up her sleeves as well. What do you think?

You know, that's tricky because they have different specialities.
In a street brawl Tina would have the advantage strength wise, and if magic was forbidden would probally win (I'm ignoring Rinoa's dog Angelo for this, cause then it would be two on one )

In a no holds barred ultimate battle though where both ladies are at their strongest, I would have to give it to Rinoa.
Rinoa has "Sorceress Power" which means she can cast magic without using it up.
It is also cast at 5 times it's normal power.
If Rinoa casts Meteor in her Angel Wings state it is devestating-
"With the boost in magic damage and the appropriate magic stats, Rinoa could potentially be doing close to 99,990 damage in one attack round (Meteor hits 10 times, potentially for 9,999 each hit)"

I'm not going to go into the matter of summons again, we covered that elsewhere

You're probably right about Rinoa beating Tifa in a magic battle. Tifa's not very blessed with magic so she'd probably get pwned. But yeah if it was a fist fight, Rinoa would lose.

Yeah no need to talk about summons.

I look at this duel in two ways.

=Physical=
Tifa is a master of martial arts.
Rinoa has a long-ranged weapon.
You don't need to be a mathmagician to figure out that distance beats close range anyday.

=Magical=
Tifa has Materia on her side, giving her fists uber-powers and powerfull magical attacks and summons.
Rinoa has the actual, physical power of several summons at her disposal, on top of her own magical abilities. And she has healing wings.
The difference between Materia and GFs are vast. Vast enough to make the magical fight nearly one-sided for Rinoa.

But this is purely my own opinion of how the fight would go.
In actuallity, their personalities may give Tifa the advantage, what with her being all gung-ho and Rinoa being a bit on the "I think I should... should I?" wishy-washy stuff.
But I still think Rinoa would win.

I love them both, however, Rinoa is a sorceress which means she can cast a multitude of magics from a distance. Tifa is a close range fighter so she would need to get in close for a good hit, but magic can be cast from a distance so Rinoa has the advantage.

The vote I made was just a joke... *cough*

If animal abuse is still allowed in Rinoa's country, guess her dog would make it a draw?

Rinoa would win for sure. There is just no competition with Tifa being so weak. That would be a really fun thing to watch if it ever happened.
