The "Why do people talk to their pets" thread inspired this one. I'm just wondering what weird quirks everyone's pets have.

My dog likes burying food all over the place. Under couch cushions, behind the dirty clothes basket, in the closet....you name it, he's buried something there. My cat's weird quirk would be following me to the bathroom so he can sit on my lap.... :/

I think your cat needs a lesson in personal space.

My dog goes absolutely nuts if she sees any light that flashes off something. Lasers, glare from a watch//CD, etc. She completely ignores everything except for the light. If it goes away, she will just stare at the spot where it was for a good five minutes before giving up.

My cat Bedlam likes to sit on my shoulder and ride around while I walk around the house. I haven't seen him in a while though and I'm starting to get a cold shoulder

my dads dog breakes steal cables. the cables we use are for 45 pound dogs...he barely weighs nine......

My dog eats dirt... she will literally bite the ground and eat it for minutes at a time.

my dog will sit there and stare at you, making you all wth and stare at her. the second you look away, she will jump on you, lick your face raw, bark for a few seconds, then run off

In the past few days, I noticed another quirk my dog has. He licks things. Whether there's been food on it or not, he'll lick it. He likes licking my pillow. The other day, he took a page out of my cat's book & followed me into the bathroom. Then he laid down & started licking the door to the bathroom. :/

One of my dogs loves to wake up my other dog in "intersting" ways.
Whenever he hears the words "Get out" or "Move" he rolls on his back.

My tarantula seems to really like chillin on my chest when im laying down watching tv. I like to interact with it often and i think it knows me by now. I'll lay it on my knee and it'll scurry back to my chest and stay there. Lotsa ppl don't like spiders but oh well

when one of my dogs lays down the other will sit on her for some reason.

I don't own a pet myself, but my bf has a dog who will just be walking down the street, and then suddenly, he will just have to roll around on the ground. Then he will get up and continue to walk like nothing happened.

When my dog gets done with his walk, he immediately runs to the living room carpet and rolls around madly making the gurgling noises.

My cat seems to hate the hallway light on. When you flip the switch and turn it on and go into another room he jumps up and knocks the switch down to turn it off.I do not know if he is looking for attention or he just prefers the dark.

cheezit : What about other lights in the house or is it just the hallway? Maybe he despises hallway lights or something.

I have seen him try to turn one off by the front door also but it is harder to reach because curtains get in the way. I think he is just smart and observes how things work and wants to try them himself.When he wants outside he also tends to reach up for the doorknob like he thinks he can open the door.

My dog loves licking my feet. And she also refuses to do her potty business outside. And everytime someone comes in the house she pees for them.

my dog seems to act like a cat? she makes a weird bark that sounds like a puppy barking and she wants petting for a few minutes and the she starts biting/clawing at me. also she snubs all of her food except the expensive stuff we bought her before.

My dog loves watching t.v. and he barks at all the animals every time they come on, even CG ones, and then he chases them into the kitchen if they run off screen, then looks confused and comes back. He also snores when he sleeps.

My cat likes to eat cheddar cheese goldfish. He also eats cheeze-its. One of the weirdest things he likes is cinnamon cake though. He steals my food off of my fork if I'm not quick enough, and bites me if his bowl is empty. He sleeps on my face causing me to curse early in the morning because I wake up breathing through his fur. However he is very sweet as well. When ever I am upset or sad, he comes to where ever I am and lays down beside me purring and brushes my hair with his claws. He also licks my ears trying to be comforting.

My mom's cat has a sixth sense when it comes to chicken. When ever it is in the house she yowls at the top of her lungs until she is given a bite, and then she starts right back in when she's finished scarfing that bite down. She also drags chicken bones out of the trash, but luckily she's kinda fat so she cannot be quiet about it

My fish had a weird quirk of suicide going through Sonic, Tails, Sonic 2, Knuckles, Sonic 3,Mario and Luigi.My caterpillar was a beauty Hairy Jeremy but once in the cocoon it had the quirk of turning into a butterfly.so i had to let that free of course.My girlfriends dog was neutered and it has resulted in the kinkiest canine eunuch I've ever met he enjoys being mounted and thrust at by other males.He also will sneak into rooms and washing baskets to eat the crotches of underwear.Worse than all those he also enjoys eating everything worst of all faeces. We was going through a small wood were people had been camping and was greeted with the site of Seamus with a log of human excrement wider than his head with an inch or so out either side of his jaw. Hes a springer spaniel and getting a bit old but i didn't think canine dementia would be so extreme let alone existed.I've made it my personal goal to straighten him out seeing as there's only my gf and her mum in the house i think he might just need a masculine touch to give him some order.Just this week was the first time hes actually appreciated a toy and not tore it to pieces which I'm quite proud of.My gfs other pet is a Blood-red Corn Snake 'Cissy'(after Narcissa Malfoy,Her quirk is licking peoples noses she is only a few months old now and just had her second shed shes already over 60cm she also likes trying to curl up in peoples hair as well.

p.s. Namrea- Seamus does a similar thing sometimes I have my suspicions its about very manly smelling wee and him wanting to get the fragrance on himself but I'm not sure is your dog weaned?
