Me and NathanMacneil were talking, and we thought that it would be good to have a ~sakura~ day, a day when we make 1000 posts (total) in honer and tribute to ~sakura~, who is having a rough time with leukemia(Click), a type of cancer.



In that post, she mentioned 1000 Cranes, which is a Japanese story where a dying girl tries to make 1000 Cranes, and gets stopped halfway (death) before she makes all 1000 and has her wish granted. She loved to make Origami as much as ~sakura~ loves Vizzed. Maybe we can fulfill her dream of making 1000 posts by doing it for her and making the wish before time runs out. I don't believe in magic, but the Japanese are normally right with this stuff.

~sakura~ day is on the 10th. Exactly 5 months before her birthday.

Why 5? That's the chance of surviving, and that's the opposite of the amount hope we have (%95).

I think its a great idea! We all should try to do it.

I was going to make an announcement anyway, I'll mention this as well. I think prayers are more powerful than doing this but this is a great tribute to her.

I'm totally in favor. I'll do my best to post a bunch that day. I might have to take Wednesday off to get my posting bug revved up though.

I think the idea is a good one though. Even if she's not around to see it right now I think she would appreciate it if/when she gets to come back to the board.

megarevolution : you don't need to hit 1,000 by that day.... the board as a whole will post 1,000 times that day. Big difference.

Ok cool, I think this is a great idea and a wonderful tribute. When she ever sees it, I think it'll really bring a smile to her face to see so many people participating in a tribute to her.

I refuse to say "If". She will come back.

I wish I'd gotten to know her better... she seems like a great person.
Let us remember her for the rest of our days!
We will prevail! We will get 1000 posts that day!
