Most of you are probably not familiar with what a timeout is. Basically if a user goes to a page and if the page fails to finish loading within the time limit, the page will timeout and give up on loading the rest of the page.

The reason for having these are to help reduce server strain.

Here are the new timeout limits:
Guests & Banned: 2 seconds
Newbies: 3 seconds
Normal: 4 seconds
Trusted - Staff: 5 seconds
Admins: 30 seconds

(only reason why admins are so high is because they may visit pages that display lots of results but there's no reason any other use would need to visit these pages)


Anyways, Let me know if this update causes any problems for anyone.

the higher your power level the fewer users there are and therefore the less strain they will cause overall as a group

or, cause David likes the higher level people more and gives them more time to do stuff than others...

either way, this will reduce server strain because it won't let you try to load pages that take longer than those amounts of time to load. Smart idea.
