I recently bought "Call of Duty: The War Collection" and I noticed that there were a few differences between MW and the WWII games.


I personally like the MW games better, because the weapons are more modern and advanced.

Yeah I like MW Call of Duties better for the same reason as you alexanyways. I don't know about you though but I just got tired of World War II, no offense to the people that liked World War 2 based games but there is just too many of them.

I also would have liked to see vehicle missions (and I'm not talking about railshooters or snowmobiles), like in the old CoD game

No, no, no I didn't mean it like that. Iam a big fan of Wargames and shooters and own all the Call of Duty games out so far but the majority of them are based on WWII and I'm just tired of fighting in the same war.

I personally liked the MW games better, the first MW was better than the second, but it wasnt a bad game. I think the WWII ones are fun as well,but i enjoy modern shooters more than i do shooters set in WWII.

Have to say its the MW ones that work for me because of the online play,although have usually found the campaign modes to be better on the wwII versions of the game. Although haven seen anything really new from the series in a while,my opinion anyway

I don't know, both of the franchies have both done well, but from my opion Infinity Ward and their "Modern Warfare" idea was probably one of the best decisions ever made. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was a big hit, and Modern Warfare 2 was one of the most anticipated games of all time. Not that I don't like any of the World War 2 games, but when Infintey Ward introduced the new multiplayer system in Call of Duty 4, that was where it was at. Overall, World War 2 versus Modern Warfare, I would have to go with Modern Warfare.
