During my summer vacations, I go to the beach very often and most times I'm stung by them lots of times. The jellyfishes or Medusas(that's the common name in my country), that I was stung, were ligh blue.
It's a really painful experience.

thank heavens no! I hear that when you get stung by a jellyfish, it has very tiny tube like things that when it stings you it launches them into your skin and ejects venom through it, not an electrical shock. and some jellyfish stings are even deadly, this one guy who tried to prove that jellyfish where causing something I can't remember at this one beach got this itsy bitsy small talk jelly fish and let it sting him and his wife and kids, next day, they all died. that was probibly the smartest thing he ever did.

Never been stung. I have found a couple washed up on the beach when I lived in Houston, TX. I was playing with it cuz it looked cool, then somebody told me I could still get stung even though it was dead. Needless to say, I quit playing with the dang thing. Does anybody know if thats true though? Can they still sting you after they are dead?
