Just wondering your opinion of when they should have stopped making the Pokémon games. I think after Pokémon Emerald would have been a great place to stop but that's my opinion. whats yours? (update*) Do you think they should keep making new games? and if so what do you think would be a good game idea after black and white?

why would you want them to stop? it's a great series! if they stopped all of a sudden and said that black and white were not coming out, nintendo would have a lot of angry consumers knocking down their doors. pokemon should never stop!!!

I think they should have stopped making new games after pokemon silver. But as long as there are consumers, they'll keep up making new games.

well about 3-4 year ago, they stopped making pokemon show but until someone got idea that made them bring pokemon back so i dont think they will stopped until they get to over 1,000 pokemon (i read from the pokemon blog)

pokemon is my faviorite thing to do.but I think they should keep makeing pokemon games cause it would make everybody happy. most adults play it to It is the best game they have made in history.I love pokemon.

i agree with ya ethan they shoulda stopped after emerald dont get me wrong i like pokemon but i never thought they would go this far the pokemon are gbetting worse with every game sooner or later ntheres gunna be a pokemon thats just a box with eyes! lol yea they shoulda stopped after emerald at least the pokemon looked half way decent up to that point.

I think they should have stopped after Gold/Silver/Crystal because after that, all originality went right out the window. First, the games never change. Second, all the Pokemon are just remakes, and they lack originality and creativity.

They should have stopped after Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, because 386 is enough and back then they had the right amount of ideas for creatures. I wish that Diamond/Pearl/Platinum were all remakes of the previous games.

I say that they shouldn't stop making games until they create a virtual reality sort of thing that let's you go into the pokemon world or a real pokemon. Or maybe they can make an extremely realistic series of pokemon robots.

I actually like the 4th generation, so I say they should have ended it after HG and SS.

I say they should stop now because I think they've made enough pokemon for all pokemon history to make sense, and because there is plenty of games now. Not to mention it's not likely anybody is ever gonna actually own them all (if they do I think the need 10,000 Viz for it).

Personally, i think that they should have stopped at yellow, blue, red but i can understand about going to gold, silver, and crystal, and also ruby, sapphire, and emerald but they just keep adding and adding more and more pokemon. I grew up with red, yellow, blue, gold, silver, crystal, but i started losing intrest in them at ruby, sapphire, and emerald because the game was just the same basis as the first and second series. That is just my opinion about it all though

I know I'm gonna get trampled for this, but I believe that the new direction warrants a few more generations... if at least they stop making over a hundred new Pokemon for each new set of games . D/P/Pt seemed like a step in the right direction for me, and HG/SS took it even further. Now B/W look like they're going to reinvent many parts of the series... and I like the way it's heading.

Eventually, they should stop coming up with so many new moves and Pokémon. Lately there's an obvious decrease in the quality of Pokémon. Rather than make at least 100 per generation, they should only come up with some low double-digit number or even single-digit number. They don't have to stop completely, but... If they make too many Pokémon, everyone'll have trouble keeping up, including Nintendo themselves. The less Pokémon there are, the easier spinoffs will be to make, too. But with too many Pokémon, how the heck would they have the patience to make models and sprites for them all?

And also, I think they should have stopped making new moves after the second generation. Moves are getting a lot less strategic; the second generation did it perfectly. Heck, remember Earl's Academy on Pokémon Stadium 2? It told all the basic and not-so-basic Pokémon strategies and information in one little game mode. I doubt they could make such a mode these days... Plus, again, having trouble keeping up with them all...!

As for Pokémon games? They shouldn't stop coming up with THOSE, now. If they put more focus on the right things, they could make great games. The normal Pokémon series may be getting repetitive, so put a bit more focus on new features, better music, and spinoffs.

Oh, if only I could get this information to Nintendo. xP

If you don't feel like reading that all, then basically they should make many less moves and Pokémon per generation to put some focus on more important things that can also be done better.

I don't think they should stop, but if they do continue, I think it will be tough to complete the pokedex.

Personally I think they should stop making new games because they are running out of ideas. And yes i love the pokemon games and I think they are a great series, but the creators are running out of ideas for new pokemon. What they could do is make different types of pokemon games, like they made Pokemon Snap, and the Pokemon Stadium games and the games like that.

I gotta agree with after Pokemon G/S/C. Those games were a brilliant sequal to the originals, and I felt like I lost a bit of interest after those games, mostly because I felt the pokemon started looking less and less original, or just less attractive in general. But I still enjoyed R/S/E. D/Pe/Pl starters were all great looking, and I was excited for some new good looking pokemon, but was disappointed with pokemon such as Darkrai, and Rotom. Hopefully Black/White will change my mind again. lol despite all this I own every pokemon game, red/blue/yellow/gold/silver/crystal/ruby/sapphire/emerald/diamond/pearl/platinum.
