One of my absolute favorites is Death Note. I thought it was fantastic.

I'm also a fan of bleach, dragon ball (in all it's variants), cowboy bebop, sailor moon, and.... I can't think of anything else off the top of my head... but I'm sure there are others I've really enjoyed.

For anime- Hellsing Ultimate OVA and Claymore are probably my favorites. There are a few others but those two stick out the most in my mind.

My personal favorite of all time is Ninja Scroll - It still holds up even though it was made in the mid 1990s. If you haven't seen it before, I would highly encourage you to do so.

Easily Dragonball Z, One Piece, Naruto, Full Metal Alchemist, and Bleach are the among the greatest ever created. I have one other favorite that brutally influenced my life so I got to say Ranma 1/2. It's highly underated and very crazy, but I like it that much.

I'd have to say the best anime I've ever seen was Trinity Blood. It was absolutely breathtaking from beginning to end; not to mention unique and ironic. A vampire who eats other vampires and works for the Vatican. Unique, ironic.

The best manga would have to be Naruto. I love all of the characters and the story. Though something happened that always seems to happen no matter what manga/anime I see: my favorite character died. R.I.P Itachi.
