Due to all the drama and rude comments being tossed back and forth in the Debate and Logic forum, I've disabled it for the time being. I'm undecided at how long I'll keep it disabled for but I'm thinking 2 weeks.

Too bad I don't get to see the drama, I really like drama, it shows how dumb people can be sometimes.

OH MY GODNESS, NO MORE DEBATE AND LOGIC FORUM !!!1111111 THE WORLD IS ENDING, DUE TO YOU DAVID !!1 = Drama ( I think, I might be wrong).

This don't affect me that much, but I really wanted to make a topic in that post .


P.S : I also noticed that I am usually one of the 1st few who reply to important topics like this, usually made by you.

Crono will be the first one to say this: "There was a debate and logic forum!" Seriously, never knew it existed, :.. So, it won't bother Crono at all.

Kinda weird to come back from vacation and find my forum is gone . I think it's kinda a good idea though... some of the stuff going on was pretty heated .

If you bring it back can we have a ruling like that the section is for debate and not for preaching in, and if anyone wants to have a christian debate it should go in Christian Conservatives?
Because some threads were made with that midset, that they claimed they wanted to talk about scientific things but then turned it into a religious debate about how everyone was wrong because they were not christian.
At least with this ruling I mentioned then the people that want to debate about science can do so without being flamed and having their arguements and facts completely ignored because they go against religious beliefs.
I would personally appreciate it if you would consider making this ruling.

DarkHyren : The thing is, Creationism is science just as much as evolution or any other theory. Saying that Christians can't express their opinion in the Debate forum is just like saying that non-Christians can't express their opinion in the Christian forum. Although I do agree that it's wrong for someone to go into that forum and say that they're right and everyone else is wrong but I've seen everyone do that, not just Christians.

Davideo7 : I can't that is impossible I don't even have access to Vizzed DB. Maybe something happened when you took it away from public might have deleted it somehow.

I wouldnt go so far to say that creationism is a science as most of it is just religious belief rather then actual science.

Anyway, I'm not saying christians cant express their opinions, only that if they want a christian centered debate they should post in the christian forum.
I'm not saying that christians are the only ones that say their right and everyone else is wrong, just that alot of arguements happened in the debate section due to people putting forward their beliefs as facts and ignoring when actual facts were posted.

Oh, and alot of christians have said that non christians can't express their opinion in the christian forum, just so you know.

it's not the science forum.... it's the debate and logic.

I do agree though that if a religious topic springs up, or if a topic becomes "religion vs non-religion" then the thread should either be moved or scrapped. Unless we want to allow general religious discussion to go on in that thread as well.

Now that would make a good forum Religion vs. Non-Religion I can see it being very hot in there lol.

Well its just way too bad that people had to screw up that forum with flaming. I enjoyed it. This is one reason why I like Vizzed, it isn't just games, but smart debate to. I gotta go with David and geeo, this isn't just a science forum. Though that would be good idea for a forum. I gotta disagree with DH for seemingly being against putting beliefs. On moral issues such as I think there was a homosexuality thread. Beliefs are kind of automatic in a thread like that.

As you can see I never said I was against peoples beliefs, only that if people insist on turning a debate or discussion into a religious debate they either shouldnt post at all or should go post in the christian section.

Also using the example of the homosexuality thread, there was already a thread for christians to "talk" about gays in their section so I hardly see the need to express those opinions again in the other one which talks about the logical side.
And several people, including hoochman, were actually warned for posting in that thread with their beliefs, by geeo if I recall, and told to take it to the christian section, so it's not like I'm saying something that hasnt been said before.

Therefore christians shouldnt go into debate and logic and expect that anyone will think they are right, and they shouldnt go in there and be all offended when people post logical arguments against their beliefs.
I just want for the debate section what the christians expect for their section, because they say the same sort of things if someone is offended by something they say in their section.

Sidenote- And while it wasnt a science forum per se, science would fall under the "logic" category.

DarkHyren : I didn't say you were against Christians expressing beliefs, just Christians expressing them in the debate forum. And my homosexuality thread statement wasn't against you closing it. I made the statement because I was using homosexuality as an example of a moral issue where personal beliefs and/or convictions apply.

there shouldn't be a need for any sort of rule on what people can and can't post as long as they are respectful in the way they post and react to others posts.

This whole "Christians can't post Christian stuff in the debate forum because non-Christians can't post in the Christian forum" is garbage. You can post anywhere you want.... but when you post something don't be so shocked that people think your opinion is garbage.
