Hiya, friendly friends, Crono was on Facebook, as usual and saw a stupid application shared from one of his friends saying "Have you ever dreamt of him?" So Crono, as carefree as he is, clicked it and just got stuck in a parallel "Finish this survey to continue drama" and closed the app. Afterwords, he looked it up on Google and found a Word press article about a man 1000s of people are seeing in their dreams. Here's the story in the man everyone's been seeing in their dreams:

In January 2006 in New York, the patient of a well-known psychiatrist draws the face of a man that has been repeatedly appearing in her dreams. In more than one occasion that man has given her advice on her private life. The woman swears she has never met the man in her life.

That portrait lies forgotten on the psychiatrist's desk for a few days until one day another patient recognizes that face and says that the man has often visited him in his dreams. He also claims he has never seen that man in his waking life.

The psychiatrist decides to send the portrait to some of his colleagues that have patients with recurrent dreams. Within a few months, four patients recognize the man as a frequent presence in their own dreams. All the patients refer to him as THIS MAN.

From January 2006 until today, at least 2000 people have claimed they have seen this man in their dreams, in many cities all over the world: Los Angeles, Berlin, Sao Paulo, Tehran, Beijing, Rome, Barcelona, Stockholm, Paris, New Dehli, Moskow etc.

At the moment there is no ascertained relation or common trait among the people that have dreamed of seeing this man. Moreover, no living man has ever been recognized as resembling the man of the portrait by the people who have seen this man in their dreams.

Crono for one, has not even dreamt of this man, and finds it rather phenomenal/far fetched that anyone's dreaming of that face. Well, Crono wants to see as of proof who has and who hasn't seen this man via Vizzed thread post. Have you ever dreamt of this man?

You are a fading dream, but one that has been touched by reality. Run, dream. Run on into the daylight. And walk into reality.

that is bizarre. He looks like a creepy pervert to me. I'm curious to find out how many of these people dreamt about him before seeing the picture.... and how many actually had a dream about a guy that looked exactly like that. I find it hard to believe though.

LOL geo, I also agree he looks like a creppy perv. I think people are dreaming of him cause of the fact that he looks very pedofile like and with that story edged in the back of your mind its all you will think about in your dreams.

What I want to know is what he was doing in 2000 peoples "dreams".

Who the heck remembers peoples faces in their dreams? I think its all balogni, most my dreams I have no clue what people look like theres too much going on around me to care. Most my dreams consist of very short adrenaline rushes I'm either drowning, driving off a cliff, whatever it may be I'm the kinda person who never pays attention to other human detail If someone robbed a bank and I was standing right next to them chances are I would not remember what they look like a min after it happened.

Also, its a facebook app... people will do anything to get attention on there.

No, not once have I seen this man, either in dreams or awake.
(though I might have nightmares of him now, lol )
But it's sorta a generic picture isnt it, and dreams are so vague that if someone had a dream with a guy in it that looked similar then they would just say "yeah, that's him".
It's a load of bull I say, and I also wonder how many people have asked "have you dreamt of this man?" and shown the picture rather then saying "he's 100 pictures, have you dreamed of any of these people?".
It's just playing on peoples suggestability most likely.

I have never seen this man, in either dreams or awake. I too have many weird dreams, which were about dragons, taking on adventures, and other random stuff. But I do remember some dream. When I was little, I was looking at a pool, which were filled with many different creatures. I also remeber this one, when I met Ryan Stiles, who was in the show Whose Line Is It Anyways, which was kind of nice. So, there are some dreams that I remember.

Yah, I think it was just plain weird.

You know, some demons haunt people's dreams and may even appear to someone in their dream. Sounds to me that this is a face that a demon uses and has haunted many dreams.

EDIT: Now I'm sure some of us will have a dream of that face, that is kinda creepy and hasn't left my head since I saw it lol.

DarkHyren : I agree that looks like any random man with bushy eyebrows.

I don't believe this at all, but I don't believe in much until I'm proven wrong.
And the only time I ever remember a dream is if I wake up halfway through it, but I usually forget it after a few hours.

joebab : yeah, I'm certain it is a physchological trick, I would say that only that one first person that described it dreamt of him and everyone else just thinks they did.
Except for people you know, people in dreams are all vague.
It's easy to think that you might remember seeing someone from a dream, but what's more likely is that you are matching up one characteristic and your imagination is filling in the blanks.
It's not a demon, not a ghost, not a god, and most likely not anyone thats really exists either

I dreamed of him after I voted that I hadn't. It was a strange dream, I was chasing after him trying to catch him and when I did I turned him around, saw his face, and then he disappeared and I woke up O.o.

Never seen this guy either. The liklihood of something as vague as a dream and having your mind using the face to fill a blank in your head isn't uncommon practice of the mind. It tends to try and make sense out of things even if it isn't even plausible, just so it fits into reality.

Edit: On second glance, does anyone else find he bears an uncanny resemblence to the Mad Magazine guy?

That's an awfully detailed picture for something a patient sketched in a psychiatrist's office, especially of a man in their dreams. It looks more like a digital drawing. The highlight in his left eye looks like the Paintbrush tool in PhotoShop.

I'd agree that this sounds like some fishy psychological experiment. I do think David is right in saying that it could be a demon trying to influence people (we see God doing this a couple times in the Bible) but the much more plausible explanation is that people get caught up in the mystery. Dreams are often characterized by things that have been on our minds. How many of us have dreamed about missing class?

A couple years back I was a big UFO enthusiast, and while I was researching the secondary symptoms of alien abduction I actually started to feel like I showed them. I started to obsess over it and wonder if I had actually been abducted at one point. I even started inventing fictional memories that, in reality, I always knew in the back of my mind never happened.

Even in real life people have been known to make up totally fictional memories in order to fill in gaps created via some means. There was an experiment to prove this - several people were spoken with individually about certain things they remember from their childhood. One of these memories was made up by the interviewer, and yet every candidate had very vivid memories of it.

The truth is that the patients involved and the people taking the test could easily be led into believing they've seen this face before. If the psychiatrist took it a step further and started asking people if they've seen this man in real life I bet the results would get a lot more interesting. We might even be led to the house of a guy who actually looks like this.

Have I dreamed about this person? No. And I doubt that more than one person had ever actually seen him before this so-called "sketch" turned up online.
