I love the Marvel Vs. Capcom series. I like the different combos that you can set up for your opponents to defeat them. I also like the idea that you can use your teammates as aids in your battle, you can summon them to damage your opponent. I also like the different variety of people that you can choose to make the ultimate team, making an awesome 3 way special attack bewteen your people.

I also like the Marvel Vs. Capcom soundtrack. It is Epic.

Street Fighter was the best of the arcade fighters back in the day, but I prefer Marvel vs Capcom cause it has great characters like MegaMan (FTW!), Spiderman plus the Street Fighter people.

Oh my gosh you didn't list tekken. I love those games, though don't like the long combos of tekken 6. Now don't get me wrong the original street fighter II in the Mini=Mart down the street when I was 10 got me into fighting games and I still play it on Mame to this day, but I love tekken.

I like Soul Calibur the best. I just find that the controls in it are very smooth, and there is a character for just about every gamer's playing style. Sure Maxi is a button masher's wet dream, but if you know how to play the game, it's not really an issue. I can out cheap anybody with guard impacts and throws if they want to play the Maxi game with me.

Plus I've never been a huge fan of memorizing combos, I find with Soul Calibur you can do different moves with a simple direction and a button press or two, and you can make your own weird combos with enough experience. I'm not even a huge fan of Astaroth, but I taught myself a combo where if you do it right with a little bit of luck you can kill your opponent with a full life meter if you execute the full combo.
