Have you ever used the public Vizzed Chat Room for advertising a thread/poll?

Every other day, I noticed that on public Vizzed Chat Room, are placed some links about threads and polls.
I like the idea (but I totally disagree, when the advertisers place again and again the same link, all the day). So I use it sometimes, especially when I'm bored and almost nobody is online.

Also, I want to know, how do you feel about it? Do you agree with that, or not?

Besides, the chat rooms are a new feature and there are no written rules about it, yet. So, I'm a bit confused about it.

depends on how much you do it really. If you advertised your thread more than once every 10-20 minutes then I would consider that spam. It's not like your thread is somehow hidden.... you don't need to advertise it too much in order to get people to notice it. It shows up with a "new" every time someone posts and stuff.

I have enough of a bother looking through about 40-50 notifications per day, so I don't really think I have to advertise my threads to get an adequate number of responses.

I didn't realize this was a poll too... I voted that mine don't need advertisements...

and a couple of my threads don't... but I know I make a lot of threads that might do better if I had advertised them a bit... but thats okay by me. I figure if my thread doesn't get activity on it's own then this group of people here aren't interested enough in the topic.

geeogree : I usually prefer making polls than just threads, because I want to have some statistics, so I can come to a conclusion about the topic. Besides, I think it's more attractive for posters, this way.
As long as the advertisements, it's also a good way do dig up some of your old but good threads and polls

I didn't even know how to advertise my threads until a few weeks ago, but I don't do it that often. I've only done it a couple of times, and I usually do it when the Vizzed Chat is dead. As long as you don't try to advertise the same thread repeatedly for the entire day, it's fine by me.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
