Chatot is a decent normal/flying type Pokemon. I've only seen it in battle a few times in the games, and it was alright. However, I loved the role Chatot played in Explorers of Sky. I'd rate it a 7/10.

I am not a fan at all of Steelix. I don't know why but steel type pokemon are some of the worst to me, and have virtually no appeal whether it's how they look or what they can do in battle, and sometimes they are a pain to battle against, not to mention that I wasn't too much of a fan of onyx either. The design of Steelix is pretty epic though, so it's a nice 7 out of 10.

The next pokemon to rate is going to be Gengar.

I love Gengar. Extremely fast and high special attack (speed is more important than strength), and Mega Gengar improves almost all of its stats, except for Attack. Honestly I will say that Skarmory is an amazing Pokemon, however most of my love for the Pokemon is from it's Aesthetics than it's actual use. Skarmory physically has a really cool design and it's type only makes the design even better, any steel bird would make for a cool looking Pokemon. Sawk is one of the most generic looking fighting types of all time. A dude in a karate outfit? Please, talk about unoriginal, also it has a poor moveset for a fighting tpye, and it's stats are subpar to say the least. Overall, Sawk gets a 4 out of 10 from me.

Throh is in my opinion the worst fighting type Pokemon of all time. Sawk and Throh both seem to be gen 5's of Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan. Throh's slightly worse due to it's horrible moveset, which includes the useless circle throw. It's speed is atrocious, and it's not bulky enough to make up for the lack of speed. Overall, Throh's a useless Pokemon that's somehow even worse than Hariyama and Hitmonchan. Overall, Throh gets a 3 out of 10 from me.

I recently used a hypno in a fan made game and it was really good in the first half of the game but as soon as I got to the level 35-40 mark it began to become a liability for my team. It used to tank like 4 hits or so before fainting but now it could only live one.

Mediocre movepool as well.


Next to rate is the BEST flying type of generation 1, Dodrio.

Dodrio was a beast in the first generation and it retained its status as the #1 Flying type all the way to the 3rd generation, but that came to an end in the 4th generation when Staraptor came to the scene. Staraptor just outclasses Dodrio in stats but widely outclasses Dodrio with its natural moves and better TM movepool. Staraptor learns Brave Bird, Dodrio learns Thrash. Both powerful moves have a tradeoff, but Brave Bird is much more relieable. Dodrio is still a good Flying type, but it fell from grace throughout the years.

Furret is a very cute Pokémon, and it can serve a pretty good purpose if used well. It can learn a lot of HMs, so it makes for a great HM slave to have in your party . It can also learn a wide variety of TMs. Furret can basically be whatever you would like for it to do.

Snorunt isn't awful. However Snorunt has some pretty bad stats, not the best moves, really doesn't look the best (no offense) so I'll give snorunt a gracious half way 5/10

Combine this with a choice scarf and you're guaranteed to outspeed and get a hit off on your opponent unless they run choice scarf as well, and even then you have a 50% chance to win the speed tie. Still pretty funky and I don't like to mess with it. Only a few can actually successfully use a ditto.
