Today (April 13, 2005), well over 20 people at my school, including myself took a vow of silence. This silence was in respect to those lesbians and gays who have been discriminated against because of their sexual orientation. This was not some stand off, bragging about your difference among others. Some teachers were opposed to their students' silences, and some were angry. One of my dance instructors, who is homosexual, looked upon me with a new respect. It was probably the biggest compliment I've ever recieved from someone. Over 450,000 people participated.

[If this happens to go off topic and turn into gay rights, would a mod close this before stating their opinion on the gay rights, because it's like what you're saying: "I'm right, you're wrong, this is done." if you catch my drift. v.v]

Yeah, it was just for that day. It wasn't so hard to keep quiet, it's just at some moments I forgot about it (Because I was reading.), and almost let something slip.

I could have easily have done it in high school, I was sorta a quiet kid (sorta shy), so I could have easily gone an entire day without talking (but i wouldn't do it for that cause).
