The first Final Fantasy game I ever played was Final Fantasy VII, but I never finished it. I was very young at the time and didn't have a good understanding of English (not to mention Dyslexic, so that made reading and understanding everything even harder), so I just got confused and bored, even if the aesthetics, characters and music appealed to me.

Final Fantasy X was the first Final Fantasy game that I played and finished. I enjoyed the experience and have since played Final Fantasy VII and VI. I want to play more, and have my eyes set on IX next.

That's about it.

My first final fantasy was VII. My little brother was 8 years old and saw a game with a large sword on the front. He really wanted it so my parents got it for him but I was the one that ended up playing it.  I even bought another copy of it when my brother scratched the second disc so I couldn't play it.

Final Fantasy VII was actually my first and I loved it, granted when I was a kid I never got very far because it was too difficult for me at the time. But when I finally got around to actually playing it I found a whole new love for the game. I still have it, I just no longer have a PS1 or a PS2

Final Fantasy VII was the first one for me too, and it was the game that introduced me to the gaming world, took me by the hand, and showed me a universe that I'd never seen. Played it for months, almost non-stop, I loved it so much that it broke my heart when it ended... Still have some secrets to learn about it though, the great thing about Final Fantasy VII is that it's a quite unfinished game, and there's so, but really so much to explore, things that haven't been done, incomplete scenes and areas, even ideas that have little or no proof of existence, I just think it's just so amazing that there's so much to a so incomplete game. Love it

The first I had ever beaten was the DS remake of Final Fantasy III, which was quite difficult because I later found out that the remake was much harder than the original Famicom/NES version. My final job classes were a Ninja, Geomancer, Sage, and Summoner.

that was the first FF game I ever played. But just one was all it took to get me hooked.
That game literally changed my life. I wasn't the same person after I played that game. It changed my view of the world; I never new that games could be beautiful and moving until FFIV for the GBA. The story and music just blew me away. That game, I can proudly say, helped me become who I am.

Ten or X or however would anyone like to call it so I think since it was my first love, I remain biased to it.Playing the previous ones made me love the franchise even more but all that have followed since have been for me huge disapointments after another. Twelve was ok but... I hate online games plus "smash x until you reach the end of the corridor to see an another cut-scene".

Like many of the older people on here, my first FF was the first one. Good old Final Fantasy. After that, I didn't play another one for a long time, until I stumbled across Mystic Quest. Which I'm not sure even should count as a Final Fantasy, but ah well.
