I just finished mother 3 and LOVED it (read my review its there I promise X]) I am now playing earthbound and mother and wishing I could play them in america on tv or hand held systems so I don't have to sit in a badly lit basement trying to read the text off my dated monitor!

I have played a little of Mother 3. I found it to be fun, but the music battle system was weird. I think they should have been brought over when they first came out, if nintendo was to port them to ds or something i might be interested.

Yes, Mother 1 was kind of released out here. There is like a dozen or so genuine copies of it however, if that many in prototype carts.

Anyways, yes they should be released out here, but unfortunately North America has nothing better to do then try and sue people for copyright infringement, even if it's referencing anything that's in pop culture, therefore they will never be released out here, Japan is nowhere near as anal about copyrights, hence why it could be released over there. I'll be shocked if Earthbound even gets re-released on Virtual Console. I would think that Earthbound games would be able to get by on a technicality due to it being a "parody" of sorts of Dragon Quest, even though Mother 3 is very dark.
