I want to know if it's even worth my time to watch it. I have a feeling that I'm going to hate it. They pronounces Aang's name weird (like Ong or something) and they don't have the Kioushi warriors which tells me that they're not going to continue the story.

From what I gather by what you say this movie is based on some other materials, now I have never heard of it till I saw previews for this movie and to me it looks awsome. I haven't seen it but I wanna and so I'll probably stream the net so I can see it, then I tell u what I thought.

The acting was kinda wooden, but much of the character were teens so you can't expect much. Double post, whoops. Anyway, the 6% from RottenTomatoes is a bit TOO harsh on this flick. It does its mission on making a decent movie out of it's source material.

I haven't seen the movie, but I would be surprised if it turns out as well-developed or entertaining as the TV show. The show is a definite classic, but from what I've heard, it sounds like the movie doesn't live up to the show.

xfighter1138 : I get why they changed the pronunciation of some names I just don't think it was a good idea. Sure the people who have never seen the series won't care but the fans aren't going to like that. When you make a movie of a series like this you should try and satisfy the fans and not just try and sell the movie to people who haven't seen it. You need to have a good balance. I agree that if they do more movies they shouldn't use M. Night.

I was excited to hear about The Last Airbender coming out, then I heard M. Night was directing it and was quickly less enthusiastic. And I saw a lot of reviews saying everything was horrible except for the CGI and fight scenes. So its probably not that good but I am still going to watch it and see for myself.

I know what you mean, it's like when you've read the book and then the movie isn't nearly as good. Sometimes if you never read the book the movie is good though. I think interview with a vampire is a good example of what I'm talking about.

saw it in 3-D last weekend! it was awesome!! have never watched the anime though. the script could have used a little work, but like xfighter said, you can't expect so much from teens. the martial arts were really cool, and CGI? blew me away. totally worth watching !!!!!!!!!!

I saw it on my birthday and came back with only complaints about it. Mainly the acting killed it. They may be teens but they should at least be able to form a sentence correctly. The anime was funny but this was just bleh. Graphics were good. The fights were fine. I wouldn't call any of them bending masters since they fought slowly and badly. I had this feeling all through the movie they were rushing the story. If your gonna have to cramp stuff down try 3 hours not an hour and a half. They were fully capable of having the kioshi warriors in there but decided they felt the need to cramp the entire movie.
