My pokemon soulsilver game will not work. when i start the game it will say "The save data could not be accessed. Please turn the power off and reinsert the DS Game Card." Obviously i tried doing that, I am about the email nintendo, this happened on my DSI and my friend ds lite. i have blown the cartridge and the slot, neither work. any suggestions? -------------------- |

Unfortunately, it looks as if your game is either defective or something in the original DS system you played it in must have shorted it. The only thing I can think of is starting over

I had the same thing happen with my copy of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Basically, all you can do is toss it... the cartridge is busted. Did you happen to be playing the DS while it was plugged into an outlet, charging during a thunderstorm or a blackout/brownout in your area? That might have been the cause.

This happens when either the battery dies or if the game card is a fake.
Assuming it is a real game card you bought brand new from a shop it will still be under warrenty, your best option is going ahead and calling nintendo. If it was bought used then you will probally have to see if the shop you got it from has a warrenty for used games.
