So, what kind of card games do you guys play? I like playing BS myself. For those of you who haven't tried it, it's really simple:
You deal the entire deck out. Whoever has the Ace of Spades goes first and plays that, and then it continues in a circle. You play cards in order, from 2, 3, 4, 5... up through Ace and start over again. You place as many cards as you have in the pile. If you don't have the card, however, you still have to go... so you bluff. If someone else thinks you're lying, they call "BS". Then, you check the cards just laid down: if they were the cards supposed to be played, the challenger picks up the entire deck laying there, if not, the person who played them gets it. You go until somebody runs out of cards (or all but one if you want to play longer). Jokers are wild, and turn a bluff into a good hand (for instance, if you call 3 4's, but place down a 4, a Joker, and a 2, if someone calls you, they get the cards because the Joker saves your hand).
If you like, you can explain the rules to your games.

I play War, all you need to do is pick a card, if the card is greater than the card that your opponent picked.

I play Blackjack, which you just try to get 21 out of a few cards.

I play Solitaire, in which you place 5 cards and you draw cards until you have a pattern that goes red-black-red and the numbers and royalties elevate.

I lastly play Crazy Eights, where you match up cards by number and color, eight of any color is a wild card.

I like to play Crazy Eights too with friends, mostly in parties where we don't know the people.

I also play FlapJack. A great game to play. The game is really simple. Just keep on putting the cards down, if the 2 top cards are the same, you have to slap it and you get the whole set of cards. If you put down a jack, you can slap it, and you get the whole set of cards. The player with all the cards win.

I also like to play BlackJack.

alexanyways : I love Crazy 8's that's the new bus favorite at camp. Of course, I think my friend rigged it so I always lose, just because I'm a LIT...

I use to collect pokemon/yu-gi-oh cards. But I prefer pokemon cards. Don't know why but I always liked them better.

I play a fair amount of Rook and Cribbage. I'm old... I know .

I'm more of a board game player personally.... card games are fun, but a lot of the time it's luck of the draw.

I play Texas hold 'em, crazy 8's, hand and foot, and a game called @$$-h...((be we call it Presidents, its cool. Reply to me if you want me to explain how to play it))

I play 52 pick up I prefer organizing trading cards, personally.

I have played poker online a few times, other then that i don't play card games much

I've never heard of 90% of the games said in here
My favourite is 500's not sure if anyone has played it.
And I sure as heck am not explaining how it works, it would take me hours.

I love playing BlackJack

It is my favorite Card Game.

I love to play BlackJack, War, and Solitaire. There's also this game called Slap Jack where everyone puts down cards one at a time in a center pile, the instant someone puts down a Jack of any kind, everyone slaps it, the last one who slaps it is eliminated.

I forgot to add Poker and Solitaire!


They are two of my favorite pastimes!

I also play this game called spoons. It's sort of like a combination of musical chairs and PIG.

It can be played with two or more people, generally you want more than two or it's not really too much fun. All the players form a circle, in the middle of the circle is a certain amount of spoons (doesn't have to be spoons ). The amount of spoons depends on the amount of players, # of players - 1 = # of spoons. Then what you do is pass out four cards to each of the players. The dealer then picks up a card decide whether or not they want the card, then pass it or one of the original cards they had (you can only have four cards at a time) to the player to their left. That player then decides whether they want that card and either keep it and replace that card with one of their originals or pass it on. All the while the dealer keeps on picking up cards and passing them on. This keeps going until one of the players gets four of a kind at which point they grab one of the spoons. As soon as one of the players grabs a spoon the rest of the players try and grab one of the remaining spoons. Who ever doesn't get a spoon gets the letter S (the first letter of spoons or spoon depending on how long of a game you want to play). Then you play more rounds. If you lose once you get S, twice P, three times O, and so forth until you get spoon at which point you're out of the game. Once a person is out of the game a spoon is also taken out of the game thus keeping the ratio # players - 1 = # of spoons.

septembern : I've never actually played Solitaire in real life, but I'm fairly good at it on the computer.

bigNATE : yeah, Solitaire is better on the computer, because you don't have to set it up and it is not usually impossible to solve on the computer.

There's also a game called Speed that I play(it's called something else too I think, but whatever). There are two cards to start out, and each of you have your own decks. And then, you have to have 5 cards in your hand, and you can't have more than that at one time. You have to put the cards in order(A,2,3,4,5...etc.) The fastest one to clear your deck wins.

When I was 14 I attended this court-probation school until I was 16, WAR was a popular game there w/ a few others. I can't remember the others but I vaguely remember WAR, if I were to remember then I'd probably pick them back up because they were pretty fun.

Card games I play are War, Poker, Hearts, Black Jack, FreeCell, Solitaire and Spider Solitaire.
