So, I was in the shower RGR today, and I was thinking, "I have a habit of playing just random games that I see that pop up... but it's not always easy to pick what random game to play, lol." So then I thought "Microsoft Vizzed should put a 'random game' button in Windows 7 the RGR!" I'm a PC Vizzed member, and the random button, is my idea.
Davideo7 : So, whaddya think? And yes, I've watched too many Windows 7 commercials .

It's an interesting idea and I could see people having fun with it.
Not sure if it would really be worth it though :/ Most people know the exact game or gametype they want to play.

joebab : I see what you mean... I guess I just love randomness . I really think it would be cool, there are days when I just have no idea what to do, so I want to go play a game, but can't decide. With this button, I wouldn't have to! Well... you could still turn down the game, it would only take you to the page, you wouldn't actually launch a random game by clicking that.

Yeah I am starting to see the appeal.
It would be fun as long as it's not too much effort to implement, which I doubt it would be.
We'll see what other people think.

bignatealpha : Actually a feature like this wouldn't be to tough to implement, half hour at tops. I'll look into it. For now, you can see random games by looking at games with recent comments, screenshots and submitted scores.

Wish I could but I have far more important things to work on at the moment and I literally don't have a half hour of free time any time soon.

I was thinking about this feature a little more and had an idea similar to it so I took a break from other things and implemented it.

Random Game
You can now have the RGR randomly pick a game for you by clicking the 'Random' button. It randomly picks a game based on your specifications. For example, if you type in 'mario' in the search box and click 'Random', it'll randomly bring up a game with 'mario' in the title. If click to display only game boy games and click 'Random', it'll randomly pick a game boy game. And of course if you have no specifications, it'll randomly pick a game from any game in the RGR.

First Game
This is for users who are really impatient and want to go directly to the game they are searching for. So if I wanted to search for 'Moto Roader' and wanted the RGR to take me directly to that game, I type in 'Moto Roader' and click '1st' and I'll be brought to that game automatically. Now there are some games with the same title as others, the RGR will randomly return either the one with the most views or the one with the highest rating. Just like the 'Random Game' feature, you can adjust your specifications. For example, I can click 'Sega Genesis' and than type in 'Bomberman' and it'll direct me to the 1st 'Bomberman' the RGR finds for the Sega Genesis.
