What are some concerts you've been to? Do you go to concerts? Stories?

I went to the Taste of Chaos concert last night... The bands were Killswitch Engage, The Used, My Chemical Romance, and Senses Fail... it was awesome. The crowd on the floor was SO insane. My friend was crowd surfing and got pushed into a mosh pit and was thrown across it. Some girl fell and got trampled on.. and some other people got earings torn out and clothes ripped.

I didn't know what to expect from an emo concert.... but that DEFINATELY wasn't it. It was beyond brutal. When The Used came on there were, at the very least, 500 people in the pit, trying to get to the stage. Some crazed fan ran onstage and gave the singer a bouquet of flowers before being tackled by like, 5 security guards... XD

I go to cornerstone every year which is a christian music festival in bushnell illnois...

One time at a Supertones concert people kept on jumping up on the runway, skanking for 5 seconds and diving into the crowd beofre they were assaulted by the gaurds. At a P.O.D. Concert a guy jumped up and hugged him in the middle of the rap and he hugged them back, Then the gaurds pulled him away. Pretty funny stuff. I touched his leg to!!! when he was out on the runway. P.O.D. ain't the best but they are alirght.

I haven't gone to many concerts on account of my dad being an ass. But this year i did go to eXposure. Its like a battle of the bands for the local rock radio station 93x. Anyways, a band from our school, dementia, was playing. These guys really rocked. It was awsome cuz like there were like 90 people there from our school. So like when they got on stage we had awsome fan support. Like when forman (the leadguitarist/vocalist) walked on stage it got so loud. It was pretty tight. Then we started moshn'I was drenched in sweat. Then we put up this chick for crowd surfing and we pushed her to the front and the people in the front wern't paying attention and she fell down right on top of me and like hit her head on the floor. Everybody thought she had like a concusion or something. It was really fun tho the couple of hours we were there before they went on stage cuz it was at Quest night club so there were like booth things around the top area. And we got this bum to buy us smokes. It was pretty cool. Really fun!

But Killswitch isn't Emo... meh, the only one.

Anywho, I've only been to three concerts in my life, which I shall list now:

January 13, 2001: Marilyn Manson - Guns, Gods, and Government World Tour at Universal Ampitheater in Hollywood, CA. My first concert, and like an idiot I forgot my glasses. It was a kick ass show, opening band was Godhead and they so kicked ass. Manson himself was amazing, I stood the entire time. No mosh pit for me, I was too far back, yet still close... only thing that bothered me was someone lighting up skunk weed, gods that s*** smells.

June 30, 2001: Ozzfest 2001 at Glen Helen Blockbuster (now Hundai) Pavillion in Devore, CA. I missed the opening bands like Otep, Mudvayne, and Godhead, but I got there when the headliners were going on. Walked in just in time to hear Zack Wyld of Black Label Society say that Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit sucks dick. It was a kick ass show, even though I was stuck in the lawn section. Manson and Black Sabbath were the big headliners that year, with Manson going on at just after sundown. I pushed forward as much as I could, and was like 10 feet from the moshpit around a bonfire, so there was smoke everywhere, but I didn't care because Manson was on. Nearly got in a fight with a 40+ year old guy saying s*** about Manson and was backed up by two Army guys, it was great! Black Sabbath was so awesome, I still can't believe I saw them live. All in all I saw, in order: Black Label Society, Disturbed, Crazy Town (sucks), Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, and Black Sabbath.

March 6, 2004: An Evening with Dream Theater at the Pantageas Theater in Hollywood, CA. I went with my friend Pat (AnimeRPJunkie if you remember him), and it was to date the best concert I've been to. Tenth anniversary of their first album, so they played the entire thing, and surprised the entire crowd by bringing out the original singer for that album. Pat nearly had an heart attack (he got me into them). It was so cool... gods the drummer is awesome! I shocked Pat when I told him it was the best concert I've been to, since he knows I'm the uber Manson fan, but yeah.

Well, The Used are pretty interesting, I'll admit that. Not too opinionated on the other two though. But yeah, Killswitch is cool... I'm just not sure why they would be playing with Emo bands.

Well, I'm not sure of the exact date, but around July/August (hopefully in first two weeks of August) I will be going to see the "Gigantour" headlined by Megadeth and Dream Theater, along with Fear Factory, Nevermore, and Dillenger Escape Plan.

*bounces around like a hyper squirrel*

Oh this is gonna kick ass!!

Best part: tickets are only $35!!
