So next week, on May 27th at 9AM PST I will be graduating and receiving my BA in History. I'm right on the borderline of Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude (degrees of honors), and I won't know what I have until they process the grade for this last class I am taking. I really hope I get bumped up to Magna Cum Laude, I had high honors in high school and it made me feel awesome. I think I only got regular honors at LBCC... been so long I don't remember. But yeah, yay!

Yeah, it took me longer because I switched majors a few times. Started out as a psychology major, then went to biology, and lastly history. Between that and money/time issues it stretched it out to eight years.

Technically I should still have a year left. Planning on taking a program that gets me a teaching credential and a Masters in Education once I move to Pennsylvania... whenever the hell that is.

So I got my final grade back from my last class... 92.3%, the highest in the class. This only bumps my GPA to a 3.712... I miss Magna by less than four damn points! ARGH!! Oh well... I guess any cum laude is better than none, right?

I still have the chance for departmental honors... but those only get listed on your transcripts. Still not sure how they do those.

I think what really irks me is that my overall GPA is the 3.712. My GPA for just classes taken at CSULB is 3.821, more than enough to qualify... but they use overall to determine. Sadness.

And it's been my goal for awhile LK... at least since high school. I've noticed that the teacher plays a huge part in how much students learns, and I've had both really good teachers and really bad.
