Bible as the Authoritative Word of God

Let me say this. If the Bible is NOT the authoritative word of God and if man has messed it up, then what IS authoritative? God promised that heaven and earth will pass away before His Word. I can understand an unbeliever denying that the Bible is not authoritative but as a Christian, if you deny the Bible's authority, then God does not keep his promise, and how do you even have a hope of eternal life if God is now a liar and cannot be trusted. The Bible is authoritative and for the 6 years I have been saved, striving to please God by obeying his Word, I have found that his Word is always right, and when I stray from that word, I am ALWAYS wrong. God is good to give us his Word.

I was going to go on and talk about the reason that Bible is authoritative after describing that the Bible is authentic...but I heard this sermon at a Conference recently, and Steve Lawson answers it really well. I encourage you all, both believers and skeptics, to watch this sermon.
