Share with us what your favorite horror/survival games and why they are your favorites.

Mine are:

Resident Evil for Gamecube: A remake of the original with superb graphics and probably one of the scariest/hardest one I've ever played.

Silent Hill 4: I think it's one of the freakiest ones out of the series and offers an intriguing storyline.

Parasite Eve: Great combination of horror and Final Fantasy (in a way).

Honorable mentions: Silent Hill 1-3, Resident Evil 1-4 and Zero, Rule of Rose(horrible gameplay but a truly creepy game), Dino Crisis, and I'm just starting Parasite Eve 2.

Resident Evil 2. I remeber waiting anxiously for it and playing the hell out of it. Me and a friend actually hooked up 2 TVs next to eachother and played the A game B game plus modes and guess what. EPIC...they actually sink up really well as long as you dont get tooo far ahead of eachother. Now THAT takes some planning.

I used to be so damn scared of resident evil.

But my favorite horror/survival game right nonw is Dead Frontier, its not really scary anymore because I'm used to being rushed by these zombies by now. And I also turned the game quality to low lol.

I love the survival/horror genre... but I find it too cliche when you get health or weapon power-ups right before or after a boss or area. It's a little too obvious that something tough is coming up.

I love the games though. Especially the zombie ones. I just love the zombie genre

I enjoyed resident evil 4 because it was such a change of pace from the regular gameplay of the series in a good way. I also enjoyed dino crisis because of the fact that you have to fight off dinosaurs with guns.
