Playstation is apparently working on what seems to be the new and advanced wii. it is called the Playstation Move. It looks like a handle with a ball attached at the end. It must be used with the Playstation 3 camera, but it is so advanced that you can play playstation grade games, such as UFC Undisputed, with such smoothness and ease. I think this is going to be a major success for Sony. What do you guys think? Honestly I don't think this is gonna go anywhere at all. And by the time it comes out the next gen consoles will soon be here, in which Nintendo will have already improved the motion senseing capacity and graphics among much other, I see this as being a waste of sony's money.

Remote motion control was never really my cup of tea...I've only seen it work successfully with the Wii, and I still prefer the GameCube controller if given the option. Its too late in the game for such a move. Its a gimmick that will never catch on...

I wouldn't go so far to say that it's a gimmick that won't catch on. I'm sure we could see motion controllers become bigger in the future. I also say this might be a success due to the capabilities that a PS3 has and a Wii doesn't. Really it's basically the same as the wii. Sony has no right to copy Nintendo. This shows me that Sony doesn't believe in itself and probably will die before Nintendo. pennylessz Sony has every right to create their own motion controller . If they can make it work well, I say go for it, then it'll be better than a Wii (in most cases; you still can't play your Nintendo classics on a PS3 ). Otherwise, yeah it's a bad idea.

DarkHyren When done right, motion control isn't restricted to casuals and families. Look at Sin and Punishment 2, No More Heroes, and stuff like that. I can't see casuals picking up those games. It all depends on how you build the game. Just because you don't like the motion control doesn't mean it won't catch on with other non-casual gamers if done correctly.

The ps3/sony is ripping off the Wii. It pretty much makes me mad. Then this one kid at my school who thinks he knows everying, accuses the wii for copying the ps3! Anyone else think that's wrong? Sony should try to come up with their own ideas and not take credit for things that's not theirs.
