C-H-I-K-O-R-I-T-A!!!!! You didn't have to read this post to guess my answer. It's movepool is pretty good, levels up and evolves quick(I don't like that, however. It's adorable in many ways. High Attack stats when fully evolved. Overall, epic starter Pokemon

I like Totodile because he's a water type, and the water type is one of my favorite types. And I like his final evolution and all of the moves that he can learn too. And even though there are may other water types, I still prefer Totodile over the others.

His final evolution is awesome and Epic. He has a great moveset, which he can learn, which consists powerful water-type moves, deadly fightning moves, and damaging Dark attacks. Totodile is cute and great. He is also one great water-type powerhouse to the team, which can make a deadly team. Even tough there are many other water types, I prefer Totodile and his evolutions.

I like Totodile better because it is powerful and it even though it takes a while to evolve it into Croconaw, it reaches its final evolution, Feraligatr, at level 30, the quickest of any starter Pokemon.

I picked Cyndaquil, I use it in the games and although his first stage may not be much Quilava and Typhlosion are monsters you don't want to mess with.

I picked and will always pick Cyndaquil, mainly because I used to love Quilava to the ends of the Earth. That was, until I saw it's Silver backsprite (it. had. red. eyes!), and Typhlosion's front sprite, which was easily one of the coolest thing I had ever seen. I've tried doing run-throughs with Chikorita, but Grass is a really hard type to use offensively (for me), and Meganium has better purposes as a tank, in my opinion. Totodile is an average, happy little guy, but I really REALLY didn't like him/her. In a world filled with so many water-types (Lapras comes to mind), I didn't really find much going for him. Also, I was from the time where Feraligatr had really good attack and the best move it could learn was slash (or Earthquake, if you saved the TM). Now, with the physical/special split, I suppose he's doing better, but I still pick Cyndaquil for old time's sake. Eruption for the win!
