Hi all!! I apologise if this ends up being long and ramble-y, I'm not hugely brilliant at introductions, so they tend to just collapse into me just rambling on about random stuff.

I can't remember precisely how I managed to stumble onto this place, but I managed to discover it through the FF7 NES remake, from somewhere, I can't remember precisely where. I've yet to get it working on my computer yet, but I shan't give up until I achieve it! It just looks so cool ;p

I am a huge fan of video games, particularly RPGs, 'adventure' games, point and click games, the occasional FPS, puzzle games, I suppose I can fling action in there as well, though to be honest, most games that aren't created by PopCap can probably be termed action, as well as a few that are! As well as playing the games, however, I'm also a huge fan of soundtracks, and through my love of video game music discovered Video Games Live. Its an incredible live concert that I reckon everyone should go and see at least once, preferably numerous times because of how diverse it is! Tommy Tallarico is an amazing person and an unbelievable composer, and I challenge anyone to find something about him that isn't worthy of respect!

Beyond video games, I also enjoy listening and playing 'normal' music, reading, movies, roleplaying, general nerdy stuff, comedy, internet comedy, and probably many other things I can't be bothered to remember!

I'm sure I'll fit right into this place, from what I've seen so far, its much like most of the other wacky places I'm a part of! It'll be a blast, I'm sure!!

Hi Myrph! Welcome to Vizzed!

I think this is the longest introduction I have seen to date, not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm sure you'll love the site since you like video games so much. Also, what do you consider to be "normal" music?

I used 'normal' music to distinguish it from video game music. I guess it represents stuff that's in the popular charts or the stuff you can walk into your local supermarket or music emporium and just pick up off a shelf! But beyond that, I guess I could also say I'm a fan of 'bizarre' music as well. Van Canto with their a capella metal being a particular favourite of mine currently, as well as the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain. Definitely not conventional sounds, but both amazing in their own rights!

I'd probably include Myst in the list of Point and Clicks, although I was mainly thinking of games such as Monkey Island, Sam and Max, Loom, the rest of the LucasArts catalogue from that era of brilliantly witty gaming, as well as newer games such as The Longest Journey, Broken Sword, Syberia, and the majority of games that have been released by Telltale Games.

In my opinion, when its done right its one of the best video game genres going, simply because of the wit and brilliant story telling it involves, the brilliant logical puzzle solving elements and characters that you can really identify with. Sure, it doesn't always happen that way, but when it does, it shines out like a nugget of gold!!

Have you played the Myst sequels? Riven, Exile, and Revelation. Myst IV Revelation is possibly one of the most beautiful and captivating games I've played. The graphics and scenes are breathtaking. Hiiiighly recommended if you like point and clicks.

I've only played the original Myst and Myst III: Exile. I'd love to play the other ones, I just haven't got round to it yet! Hopefully when I'm earning money this summer I'll be able to buy the boxset which contains all 5 and I'll be able to complete them all in sequence!

On a side note, have I done something wrong, or is it customary for every single person who posts in a newbie board to recommend reading the rules?
