Okay, so I was at a baseball field, minding my business at 2nd base (My least favorite base) and some lightning appears a few miles away. No biggie, happened last game, no prob, then all of a sudden, it was all around us. We all ran into the dugouts and took refuge for a bit, then the ref called off the game. so, we were heading to the cars, and we are all running and panicing because it was like, all happening around us, and we got to our cars (Me and my mom) I was getting my bag into the trunk, when all of a sudden- BOOM! Lightning hit like, 20 feet behind us, my ears were ringing and I felt the heat of it. it was so loud, that I still have a headache. I was so startled, I dived into our van headfirst over the back seat into the middle seat on the spot! I was so relieved to find out we were both alive, but then I remembered dropping the keys. I looked, and luckily they were just in the back seat. Everyone got out safe and we were all fine. This happened about 30 minutes ago, at about 6:30.

Anything like this happen to any of you?

I generally like thunderstorms, I'm not quite sure why, but I've had lightning hit in my yard before. Not the funnest way to wake up. I think I jumped out of my bed and fell on the floor lol. Just think of this as a cool story to tell to your friends. This doesn't happen to too many people.

One time when I was camping at Myrtle Lake, the largest no motor boats allowed lake in Canada, we were all sitting around making food. It was just around a little stove, and we had tarps set up so the rain wouldn't put out our flame. We were almost on the beach, and there was a little peninsula thing with a tree growing on it just across a little bit of water that went into a U shape and made the peninsula. The water was only about 5 feet wide. We were sitting on stools only a few feet from the water, and lightning struck the tree, it burst into flames, and then fell into the water, with lots of steam and smoke. Hurt my ears so bad It looked really cool though.

I have never been in a thunderstorm outside, only at home or on the bus. I bet that it can be terrifying outside during a thunderstorm and it is dangerous to be out in the open, so be careful.
