What is your favorite generation of Pokemon?

Mine is Hoenn.

My favorite is the best, the originals: the first generation. The second generation is still good, but all Pokemon after the first 251 suck.

I like the first generation(Kanto). I'm a big fan of it¬_¬

In my opinion the first and second generations are the only ones that should of been made. Anything after that is poop.

I liked the first generation best, as it always seemed the best in terms of fun and intrest. Also, as I always say: 'you can't beat the classics'.

Kanto and Johto are the best. The originals were classic and great to watch. I also like Hoen, but I really never got into Sinnoh. Some pokemons were great, but it is not as good as the other ones. But, out of all those 4, Kanto is the best.

My favorite generation would have to be Generation 1. Those games were awesome.

My favorite generation is the first, back in a time when it was actually possible to "catch 'em all" and the word "legendary" actually meant something.

The oringals for me as well! and catching all 151 of them wasn't so hard

I like Johto. It introduced breeding, the day/night system, and the headbutt trees. I love the headbutt trees, and it is disappointing they did away with them. That you could also go back to the Kanto region was awesome too, but didn't feel as complete as it could have been.

Hoenn just felt like a step backwards in many ways, compared to Johto. No more headbutt trees, no more day/night, no inter-region travel, and the pokemon just weren't as cool. This has earned it's spot as my least favorite.

Sinnoh was interesting. The honey trees will never live up to the headbutt trees, and the new pokemon continue to look like robots with spikes and stripes. However, they brought back the day/night system and I like the physical/special attack overhaul, as well as the new interesting moves. However, there are also too many hidden evolutions and event pokemon, forcing you to cheat and/or use a guide to find a lot of them. I would place it at the #2 slot.

Kanto has a lot of classic charm, but feels like it was in the experimental stage. It was too easy, the combat system was flat, and there weren't very many pokemon (though they are generally among the best of the lot). Another thing I didn't like was that a lot of actions were just tedious. Wanna use surf? You gotta open the menu, select the pokemon, and tell it to use surf. Wanna use the bike? you gotta open the bag, select the bike (I forgot to mention you can only hold 20 different items, and that sucked too), and then use it. I left it in the pc most of the game. Still overall better than Hoenn though.

Lagslayer : By "headbutt trees" do you mean sudowoodo? Because there's one in Pokemon Emerald.

The best generation of pokemon? i would have to say the Johto. the first season, the Kanto, was pretty cool, but they were still starting out back then. i feel the second season was the greatest because they had more variety without going overboard. plus,
i love toddadile.(is that how you spell it? whatever.) it also made the whole pokemon world seem even bigger and better, like a fresh start on a journey. they did it agian
for Hoen, but it was sort of like just a repeat of Johto.9still kinda exciting though.)
and for the Sinnoh, eh, it just felt weird.

I think Sinnoh is the best, because of the awsome pokemons and my favorite pokemon came in that generation. But the second best is Kanto by far, because that is there it all started, plus they have Mewtwo and Mew.

Kanto, i think is the best generation because you can get mew and mewtwo also drangonite is amazing but i also like sinnoh only because lucario is my favourite pokemon
