I personally am really open to all genres of music, including pop music. His music is fun, so what? I know a lot of people don't like Bieber and the rest of the pop genre, but I catch myself singing along to a bunch of his songs.

Also, he sounds so young because he obviously hasn't finished puberty yet. And when singing, especially if you're going to have any range (like he does), chances are that a boy of his age is going to sound effeminate
