As some of you may know, I have gotten a new PSP 3000 for Christmas. Gigantic upgrade from my old 1000. I'm now more interested in PSP games. As such, I'm trying to find out good PSP games.

Genre's I like:

Stealth-action (Metal Gear Solid, Splinter Cell)

Action (Killzone Liberation, Crisis Core FFVII)

Shooter (Killzone Liberation)

RPG (Crisis Core)


Genre's I dislike:

Whatever genre Final Fantasy Tactics is in... it's not that I don't like it, but with ADHD, I can't stand playing it for long.

Final Fantasy Tactics is a turn-based strategy RPG but since it's an RPG, it's technically in the same category as Crisis Core.

mehhh but it's a turn-based grid RPG and Crisis Core is more of an action RPG. But they're both great games. I have both of them. If you like Final Fantasy, I suggest Dissidia: Final Fantasy. It's an awesome action/fighting game. Think Smash Bros, but with FF characters and a lot of customization like RPGs. The fighting's completely different but the concept of most of the characters in one game is pretty similar. It's absolutely content-heavy. I've had the game for a long time and i still play it.

I've actually wanted to try Dissidia for a while now. I haven't had a chance to play it yet but from what I've seen, I would also recommend it.

To be honest, when i finally got to get a handheld upgrade(all i had was a game boy color...), i chose the PSP over the DS just because of Dissidia(and i guess Crisis Core too). I kinda regret that now, but at the time i looked at the DS and thought that there wasn't enough games that i would really like, the Zelda game for the DS i tried was not exactly something i had in mind for the series, and all Metroid had was Prime Hunters. And plus i was in a major FF fan craze stage during that time lol. But yeah, basically, Dissidia? GREAT GAME. I'd definitely recommend it.

I recommend getting Chili Con Carnage for Action, both Syphon Filter sequels for stealth, and that Resistance port that came out for the PSP.

definitely like the smash bros. games. But i don't mind that. It's not like you don't fight against the same people over and over again on melee, and that's a little more or less than Dissidia's amount of characters.
Yeah i wanted the bundle too, but i couldn't get it so i had to buy a used PSP and then buy it separately later.

Maybe you should try one of the Rengoku games, if you can find one. The last one, Rengoku 2 was made in 2006. The critics didn't seem to like them that much, neither did online reviewers that I read, but it's one of the most fun games I've played on the PSP. It's a combination action, 3rd person shooter, and RPG. It's really fast paced with hyper music. Maybe with your ADHD you could keep up to it? lol
