I am currently playing Pokemon SoulSilver. I made it to the Safari Zone finally and as always I am having horrible trouble catching Pokemon. Does anyone know a good way to get SafariZone Pokemon or is it just luck. And It doesn't have to be advice from just SS and HG. I'll take some from all Pokemon games.

I think it's just luck.
But I know that some pokemon will never be caught here( for example chansy of yellow version, no matter how hard I tried, I never get her on safari, but I caught her in the cave, where is Mewtwo).
Anyway, I hope that some guys in here would help you more...

There's two things you have to pay attention to. It's not just luck. It's skill and observation.

First, you have to pay attention to how the pokemon reacts to certain things. Watch its movements. If throwing crap at it right off the bat makes it run away, then switch to feeding it instead. You may have to throw food a couple times before you throw dirt or rocks at it. Try to put yourself in place of that pokemon. You wouldn't like having a bunch of crap thrown at you, would you?

Secondly, just like every other pokemon, its not an instant catch. You still have to throw a bunch of pokeballs at it before one of em actually works. Safari balls have about the same catch ratio as a great ball. So just keep trying.

And if one of em runs away, bug whoop. Walk three steps and try again.
