So basically this story starts off like this...

One night a buddy of me calls out the blue, asking me if he can crash at my apartment because he ain't got nowhere to go. So me being the nice person I am, I allow it and tell him to come over. I ask him some questions about his current situation and he seems shady about it all but me being the nice person I am, kind of just ignored my judgement. We hang-out, watch a movie and what not then I go to sleep for the night upstairs with my girl. I wake up the next morning to my girlfriend saying, "where's your wii, ps3, and laptop". I immediately get up and run down stairs to see all these things gone.(The anger begins to build up) I call the police and ask them to send someone out. As I'm waiting my girl calls all the local pawn shops and I call the number he originally called me from. This guy picks up so I ask to talk to "such and such". He gives "such and such" the phone and I say, "where the hell are you? I want my freaking stuff back".(Said it differently but you get the picture) He hangs up the phone and I start thinking like "where the cops at". So we file a police report and that becomes that. A couple nights later, I was googling Mega Man games and stumbled upon vizzed.com.(And haven't left it since) I became fascinated with all the great things within the site and had the ambition to become something on this site while making it a better place. Well on saturday night, my best friend calls me and says he found my ps3 in a pawn shop. He said they won't give it back for free and the cops can't buy it out niether so we buy it back. We then go to the cops and file this complaint with them. Now I'm hoping that they will retrieve my other things as well. I have rented Final Fantasy XIII because I lost all my games and have none to play. Mind you, that this will never effect my vizzed activity, I plan to be here for awhile because vizzed kind of saved me from alot of things in my life. I'm glad to be here and glad to have met alot of great people on this site. I just felt like I needed to tell a story of how I came to this site because it is a great story, lol...

JTRL: Is this friend of yours a drug user? Not saying that only a drug user would steal your stuff, but if he is then that might explain why he it happened. Sucks that you had to buy it back =/. Probably cheaper than buying a brand new one, but still....

and I wish pawn shops would be more reasonable about stuff like this and report it instead of just accepting what is most likely stolen. How many PS3's that end up in pawn shops are taken there by the person who originally purchased them?

Yeah I believe he's on heroin. He was just a good buddy before this and didn't think this is how are friendship would end but that's what heroin does to people.

But yeah I had to buy it back for 200 dollars. If they catch him or whoever took it there, they will end up getting arrested now because there in the system on charges for this now. They also took tapes from the pawn shop so maybe something good will come out of it. My best friend also put up 100 dollars at the pawn shop, guess that's what "real-good" friends do...

Damn dude, that's horrible! I can't imagine how horrible it would be to have someone you trust stab you in the back like that, taking your personal belongings. At least you found your PS3. It's also great that one of your friends helped pay for your PS3. I hope that guy gets caught. Drugs change people. I also hope that you find your Wii and laptop. If you have a 360, I have plenty of 360 games, so I might be able to convince my mom to let me send you a game, if you keep it in very good condition and give it back to me when you're done. Also, I have a small library of PS3 and Wii games, but I'm sure I can convince her to let me send you a game, considering you just got robbed and all. By the way, check to see if any housekeys are gone.

what an a** h*** you have the kindness to take him into your home after he has know where to go and that is how he repaid you buy stealing your belongings. but why would you let someone you think is on herowin into your home those kind of people dont have friends they think about nothing but there addiction and how to get there next fix in this case pwning of your stuff for money your wii and laptop could have been exchanged for herowin to the dealer. that really sucks to here and I hope u do get your stuff back

Well I didn't know at the time he was addicted to heroin, no one ever said anything about it to me nor did he look like he was. I found out after the fact. Either way though it doesn't give him the right to take my stuff. I mean part of me is glad because I found this site due to it but also I didn't need that to happen to find this site either. I'm sure one day, he will end up in jail though, and his name will come up on the computer for this when he does.

Your first post sounded like a touching commercial for Vizzed.

I knew about all of this, but I thought it was after you found vizzed. I must say, you found us at the right time, sometimes it helps to get really glued into something when you're feeling down.

Also I really hope they catch him and he has to pay you back.

That the fact that he used drugs just makes me more mad.

It's people like that that give everyone who uses drugs a bad name. Way to ruin it for everyone else.


Anyways, really sorry for your loss, and I hope the police actually do something against it.

Certain drugs are cool in moderation. Heroin is not something that can be taken in moderation. They are screwed from day one and really have to be at the lowest of the low to seek help. This guy seems like a complete d**k to screw you over like that. One of lifes lessons learned dude DTA.

I feel all of you and thanks everybody for relating. However you said drugs in moderation are good well the drugs that people consider drugs aren't all drugs. I don't believe weed is a drug, I don't smoke as of now because of priorities I have in life right now but alcohol, crack, coke, pills, and heroin are all major drugs, they all turn good people into horrible people. Weed isn't like that, niether is shrooms. I'm not going to condone to the use of weed and shrooms but I also believe they should be legal, at least weed.

obbiebob- I would have caught him and beat him up if I knew where to find him. So that pretty much answers that.

rasenganfan2- at the moment I'm good on games, I just rented Final Fantasy XIII. But I will keep that option in mind and thanks man for being considerate.

Holy God! Glad you got the PS3 back but, what about the Wii or the more valuable laptop? How long did you know this guy? Is this the story of how you began on this site? Wow, just, wow dude!

Same thing kinda happened to me just not with a ps3 and wii.
You shouldnt of bought it back though.
Becuase the pawn shop can get in trouble for buying stolen items and if you could of proven that it was yours and it was stolen then the pawn shop should of returned it too you and pressed charges on your "friend".
Your story makes me mad becuae it bring back the feelings of when that happened to me.

Well we bought it back because the Pawn Shop has a right to buy it and sell it even if it is stolen. The reason we didn't get it out for free though is because it was late at night and the case detective was gone for the night so we wanted to make sure we got it before someone else did. The pawn shop said that if a cop comes and gets it then we don't have to buy it. The only reason they do that is because anyone can come in and say hey, my ps3 was taken that ones mine, give it back...But they got footage of the guy who took so he's done once he get's caught...

I hope he resists, so they taser and pepper spray that fool when they find him.

That was real sad... but you are no the only one, Cyro had his stuff stolen as well...even his PS3, so even more you are not alone.

You have to thank me though, I was the one who made you noticed and made you want to stay (now you are a mod yourself ).

I hate it that you have to lose money on the PS3 though, but as I say, Money can be earned back (not saying how hard though), so don't be too sad.

Yeah I am a firm believer in karma so I know sooner or later he'll get his. I mean the big problem too, is I can't find this guy so he either lest the area or he's not out and about much due to this among other things he's done. No matter who catches him or where he goes, one day, everything will catch up to him and hit him like a train wreck...

I don't quite believe in karma JTRL, but I do believe that because he has chosen this way of life for him, it will probably lead to a series of unfortunate events and come crashing down.
