yes I have. Not often because I usually just go right back to sleep... but there have been a few nights that I've woken up and couldn't go back to sleep so I've gotten up and posted for a bit until I felt tired again and went back to bed.

I used to do it more often when my daughter was really young and we would get up for late night feedings.... there isn't much to do while the baby is eating.

I guess that I would say yes. I've had days where I had to get up early or was woken up and it's a quiet thing to do that early. Then there are cases like when there has been an earthquake when I want to get on and let people know I'm okay.
