Have you gotten your wisdom teeth out? i'm getting my top 2 taken out in 2 and half weeks i'm kinda scared it may hurt. but the dintist said i'll be pretty druged up he said its only going to take like 45 minutes to take them out.

rough.... he's doing tops then bottoms? that's rough. When I got mine out I had left side then right side. Make eating easier.

And the pain won't come when they get taken out.... the pain comes after when your face is so swollen you can barely open your mouth to eat any food. Have fun with that. You'll be having soup or smoothies or anything else that doesn't require chewing for a few days.

Oh, and 1 other thing. You can take Advil and tylenol together/alternated every 4 hours to keep the pain killers in your system regularly. They are different drugs (ibuprophen and acetaminphen) so they can be taken close together without risk.

Good luck though! Wisdom teeth removal sucks!

I've had the same as you are gonna. and yeah. it wont hurt until after you get them out. hopefully you get some vicodin. it helps tons but makes you really sleepy. good luck!

I still have mine, and it doesn't look like I need them out, at least not yet. My best friend just got hers out 2 weeks ago, but she has this weird genetic condition or something that runs in her family, and she didn't know it until they gave her the anesthetic. It makes her body shake all weird and she has crazy hallucinations. It was pretty weird. She was okay after about a day or two and then she could eat fine, although her cheeks still hurt a bit. It's not that bad, since you're asleep during the whole thing. It's more annoying having to deal with the healing process more than it's scary or painful.

No geeogree i'm getting my top 2 only not my bottem. i was going to get my bottem done as well but the dentist said that my bottem right wisdom tooth was on my nerv and if he took it out it might paralyze the right side of my face and the bottem left wisdom tooth he said it was took close to my neve and he didnt want to chance it either.

I've had the bottom two pulled and I need to get one of the top ones done soon. I was awake for my procedure though since the teeth had already broke the gum line... only way my insurance will cover their removal. Top one is not bugging me all the time but I do need to get it done soon... my schedule is just not cooperating.

Overall it should be fine. The swelling is annoying but you will slee through a lot of it if they give you vicodin. Just avoid drinking from straws for awhile or you risk the hole caving in and causing all sorts of infections. Really through, it is quick and painless and you will be just fine

If it's any thing like when I got mine out, you'll be very drugged up, you won't feel anything while he's doing it. Then he gives you heavy duty Ibuprophen for you to take every 4 hours, and possibly antibiotics if he's afraid of infections.

You'll be fine, it was pretty painless for me.
