If you could pick between a Gaming PC or a Gaming Laptop, which one would you choose? A Gaming PC is likely more powerful, but a Gaming Laptop you can bring anywhere, but it is likely not as powerful. I would probably pick a Gaming Laptop just because I don't want to be stuck in my room all day.

I actually have both but I primarily play on the PC. If I go anywhere I just take my switch or 3ds for playing on the go.

Personally, I've used both, but a gaming PC will last longer and can be upgraded over time. That's how it's been for me - that, and gaming laptops tend to have horrible battery life. I have experience with two - the first one had to throttle down to 800MHz just to get around 2-3 hours, whereas the second one gets better performance but only lasts about an hour on battery even without playing games.

That doesn't stop me from gaming on the go, but I find I usually work just fine with a Steam Deck or another dedicated handheld. They have enough power for the kinds of games I'd want to play on the go and are more portable - though, admittedly, they're a lot harder to use for productive work than a laptop.

I think it depends on what you're doing with it. If it's related to your income, I'd say a PC is always better. I'm more of a casual gamer myself though, and I really don't like being confined to a particular space to do all my gaming. I like being able to take a laptop with me on travels and just relax for a little bit every now and then. So for my own situation I find the Laptop better.

I'll always prefer PC, and I think the memes about overheating gaming laptops will always be funny, but I don't think there's an "incorrect choice" depending on your use case. Maybe you don't have the room for a full desktop, or you're on the move a lot, or the laptop is simply cheaper and you aren't looking for a huge decked out setup. Just as long as you properly cool both of them... my desktop can very easily heat up my entire room if I'm stressing my GPU out lol

I don't remember any point in my life i actually ever bought a gaming laptop. I did a good amount of gaming on just low powered office laptops because i couldn't afford a pc.

Around 2017 was when i built my very first gaming pc and since then only really game on PC since. So i would always rather have a gaming pc. Circumstances can change. Maybe one day i will have to get a gaming laptop for portability.
