So I was at this thrift store the other day and ended up grabbing this super random PS2 puzzle game about trains for like a dollar. It actually turned out kinda fun lol. Its always wild to see all those obscure titles you never hear about just chillin in the discount bins. Whats the weirdest or most random game youve picked up dirt cheap? Did it turn out to be a hidden gem or total trash? Share your bargain bin stories

I picked up pokemon Leaf Green for like 4 euros at some flea market near my grandparents' place. At this point I had never played a Kanto game so it was a completely new region to explore. I knew a lot of the pokemon already though.

I also picked up this dinosaur game where you could choose your dinosaur and then you had to grow, develop your skills and fight other dinosaurs to survive. I was a dinosaur kind of guy growing up so kid me thought it was the coolest thing ever! Probably won't hold up by modern standard and I don't even remember the name of the game, so it will always be that cool dinosaur game in my mind

A couple years ago I was at Anime NYC and there's this one store that imports things from Japan and sells them for way cheaper than they would cost to get them normally. I found a copy of the original NI No Kuni game for the DS. It came with a special box and an art book, and it was never released in America and I was able to get it for like $25. Definitely not a game I ever expected to find while shopping in NYC.

I've gotten all kinds of random games. Most of mine were cheap from second-hand stores. There's a few I had really good memories of, one of them being Fire Emblem 7, also just known as "Fire Emblem" in the US. There's a lot of smaller games I enjoyed as well that are still in my collection, just that I don't remember all of them quite as well. I should check back on them - I know the Harry Potter JRPGs were pretty good, as well.
