So, I haven't seen the Horizons series because like I said in a since closed thread I'm not into Pokemon. But I'm really curious how is it going in that one since the show changed protagonists (it would be interesting if suddenly one day we focused on Ash as an adult or something or other because I don't even know if they focused on any adult Pokemon trainers...I consider Team Rocket to be older teenagers)


While I did watch Ash's last journey when Cartoon Network Canada aired it I didn't watch any more after that (didn't need to I just wanted to see Ash off)
So, I haven't seen the Horizons series because like I said in a since closed thread I'm not into Pokemon. I gave it a chance and while I didn't hate it, I didn't feel invested enough to watch it all the way through.

They also recently did a time skip and gave one of the protagonists yet another mega lucario (shiny this time!).... ZZZZZZ...... oh anyway

I do hope kids can get attached to them the same way we got attached to Ash and his friends. I do think they made the right decision doing a reboot with a new cast. There was nowhere else for Ash's character to go as a protagonist.

Been watchin Horizons off n on and ngl it's weird not havin Ash around after like 25 years of following his journey. Liko and Roy seem fine tho, kinda shy but maybe they'll grow on me. Captain Pikachu cracks me up, he's like "buff Pika" haha. I do like the whole treasure hunt vibe but the pacing feels way slower and the new starters don't have the same charm yet. Hopefully the story picks up n we get some familiar faces later on. Right now I'm just casually tuning in here n there, still missin the OG crew.

I watched like 20 something episodes before dropping it I didn't think it was horrible but I'm not invested in the new characters and wish they didn't replace Ash and while I somewhat agree with Furret I do think they could of done something like introducing a league where everyone does double battles the whole time as a way to mix things up for Ash or they also could of just used the alt universe Ash they started in the last couple movies to start over but still have Ash. I hope the people watching it are enjoying it but I don't see myself picking it back up unless Ash returns for an episode or something.

I'm guessing they didn't know what to do with him next after he finally won a tournament and then becoming the very best. I mean the adult angle could have worked (even in the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise we saw Yugi as an adult)
