How do you feel about Raid battles in pokemon?

Personally I am not a fan of them. I would rather have other methods of finding hidden ability pokemon. Like via the swarms. I don't know if those can get hidden abilities but I would rather grind those over doing the 5 or 6 star raids and hope I beat it to get them.
With sword and shield dlc with the legendary raids I feel like it just cheaped out the legendaries and made them even more common. I would honestly like if they just switched to give them little mini stories for obtaining them or battling them really but I don't see that happening unless more time was spent on the games to polish them. I haven't played the Scarlet and Violet DLC yet to see how the legendaries were done in those.

Then again I am probably not the target market anymore and I am just the small minority.

pokemon x: you make special sandwiches to attract them with items you buy from a guy I believe only caught one so I could be misremembering....

As for raids I don't like them the ones in Shield were okay got real tiring after a while but S/V raids are awful they glitch so ofyen it gets confusing and it just feels so slow.

Personally couldn't care less.

Fun the first time and boring by the third. I just don't think they work very well as a concept in a turn based game with static battle screens. If pokemon was a bit more interactive and you could do fun strategies with friends then I'd be more open to it. The Legends: ZA battle system is a step in the right direction for that

I think I only did 1 raid in Sword and Shield (I think it was for Hatterene) and didn't care for the experience at all. I remember the raid being a slow, buggy, unpleasant experience. I also think the UI is a bit clunky as well.

Even though I didn't really feel like doing post-game content in Sword/Shield, it seemed like there wasn't much to do outside of raids and shiny hunting. Unless you happen to be playing with people locally, you're pretty reliant on connecting with other people online to beat some of the more challenging raid battles, which is a miserable experience.
