How many countries have you been to?

This is actually a weird question to answer depending on how you define "country," but by the common understanding of "country" I guess I've been to 5 countries:

-United States
-Canada
-Bahamas
-Dominican Republic
-United Kingdom (Bermuda, Turks and Caicos)

Japan will be added to the list in a few weeks, and Italy hopefully will be added in about a year. Eventually, I'd like to have 50 or more countries on this list. There isn't a country in the world that I wouldn't want to go to.

I've been to 2 I live in the US in the great state of Ohio, and I traveled to the UK twice last year where I got married to my lovely wife.

I've only been to one, and that is USA, maybe in the future I'll go to Japan, but who knows.

Only been to the country I live in.. I would love to go to Greece or Italy one day.

I've actually gone to several countries myself, and probably will increase this list in the coming years.

-France (because of neighboring land only, not specifically traveling there)
-Andorra (to buy some goods a few times since it's close to where my aunt has a house)
-Germany (partly because my cousin's wife is from there and thus was the "excuse" to go there more than any other place)
-United Kingdom (went to London as an 18th birthday gift and Manchester several years later)
-Portugal (only once to Lisbon, definitely the one from this list I'd repeat first)
-Norway (twice to follow some winter sports I love)
-Slovenia (again, to follow sports)

I'll skip Italy, since it was only a pass-by when I went to Slovenia, but I do want to go there some time, tons of interesting places to visit. And I think Peru will one day fall on that list as well because I'll be accompanying my girlfriend when she goes to see her family.

And well, I've been in several parts of Spain as well. From the Mediterranean coast in the east to the Atlantic lands in the north/northwest, the center of the country and the southern regions, as well as once going to the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands as well (though that one was a school trip, not sure if I should include that one). Not many more places I'd like to go in my country, my sights are more set on the outside world.

I've technically been to three. The United States, South Korea, and China. However, I never actually left the airport in South Korea, but I did spend over a day there.

The next on my list is Japan. I was planning to go back to China this summer, but with recent...events... I think I will be putting that off until a later date. When I go back, I want to spend 3 or 4 days in Japan and at least 2 days in South Korea.

I'd want to go almost anywhere (even places like Syria and Iran, just only if their governments become less hostile) but I have associated myself mostly with Eastern Asia and I think that will become my comfort travel destination. I also would love to go to Mongolia and Vietnam over there.

There are plenty of European places I would love to go, mainly Scandanavia, Iceland, and the Netherlands, but I'll put that off for a while.

Over a day in the airport is wild.

Let's go to Syria and Iran together lol. I'm not afraid of "dangerous" countries. Every place has good things about it and bad things about it, but you tend to only hear about the negatives. I'd love to go to as many different places as I can and find out what different countries and cultures are really like.

Talking to my dad about traveling is kind of funny. He and my step-mom love to travel, and my dad frequently criticizes his brother because his brother only ever goes to Disney on vacation. He always says stuff like "how can you not want to see the world?" But at the same time, when I talk about wanting to go to sub-Saharan African, he calls me crazy.

EX Palen : I love the US, but I am jealous of how much easier it is for Europeans to go to foreign countries. The way you describe your reasons for going to some of those countries ("neighboring land," "to buy some goods," "to follow sports," etc.) really is similar to us traveling to different states. Going from Spain to France is much cooler and more interesting than going from Florida to Georgia, though lol.

Subsahara africa would be wonderful, the natural beauty down there is unmatched. unfortunately, I live a bit too comfortable a life to go to places without substantial infrastructure. I guess the zoo will have to tide me over.

I see plenty of good things about all countries through some tiktok/youtubers I see videos from frequently. Even going to China people told me it wasn't safe, so can't believe everything you hear.

The time it takes to cross texas, you could visit like 10 European countries (completely made up statistic but probably not too far off), so they have easy travel over there!

Just like my fellow European earlier in this thread I've been around several countries in the surrounding areas. All in all I've been to 8 countries (not including just driving through one). I'm not a travel person but there are some places I'd love to go to like Ireland, Norway and the US

- Belgium: where I live, study, exist.

- Netherlands: being close by, speaking the same language and having my family living here makes it so I'm there several times a year

- Luxembourg: Only for several hours doing a detour, hanging out at some village and then leaving again

- France: A few family holidays around the country and also a school trip to Paris.

- Spain: A family trip to the island of Mallorca and also a school trip to Barcelona. Loved it in Barcelona btw

- Germany: School trip discovering plenty of Gallic monuments and places, also a city trip with my Dad to Berlin.

- Italy: Family trip to Rome.

- UK: City trip with my dad to London

I can now add two countries to my list, as I just got back from a trip to Italy! I can also add Vatican City to the list, as it is technically an independent country. My total is now 8!

I have been to 1 country and thats America. I don't have interest in leaving the country any time soon.

Not very many.... maybe 4? I'd have to think about it.

The US and Canada are the obvious first 2. Jamaica and Haiti I think on a cruise about 13 years ago.

I can't think of anywhere else I've been.

Sadly as a filthy American I've only been to one other country before, which was on a trip to the UK... visited London as a graduation gift. It was lovely, and I'd love to go back again one of these days.

Me and some friends have plans to visit Japan sometime next year. It's not exactly at the top of my bucket list, but it is on there, and it IS on the top of their bucket list, so I think it'll still be fun! I just hope I don't buy too many things that are super complicated to bring back home lol
